    Hello to all.

    I am building a NON VVTI block and installing piston squirters from an 06-up engine. I have looked at countless pictures, however I am hoping someone could help me? I am looking for the measurements as to where I need to drill my holes into the oil gallery? It's a 04 Tundra with a Harrop 2300/Elate combo/8HP70 and going AWD with the RAM TCase BW44-44. I'm at 14 PSI so far on E45 and plan on going up, but want to try and protect against detonation.

    Thanks in advance.

    i dunno where to drill
    never been inside the 2UZ-FE but typically the piston squirters are a tube plumbed into the oiling system and the squirters are normally positioned to spray the base of the piston / wrist pin to 1) cool the bottom of the piston and 2) lube the wrist pin. Some vehicles and machines dont have them, some have one, some engines are now coming with 2 piston squirters. I dont know the oiling ports inside the engine to know where to drill/tap to put in a piston squirter.
    It would appear the piston squirters in the 05+ VVTI engine are bolted down, with an o-ring fitting built onto the back of the piston squirter that locates the piston squirter into a machined boss in the pressurized oil line in the block. If you are trying to add this, you likely have some machining to do. You are going to have to locate the oil passage, drill or machine into it a flat spot for the piston squirter to mount to, and drill and tap the hole for the bolt to hold the squirter down. Unfortunately i cant tell you where to do it as i have not been inside the earlier version of the 2UZ-Fe

    @badass03taco

    I am aware of their purpose etc which is why I'm I stalling them. The VVTI and non VVTI blocks are pretty much identical minus the oil holes for the squirters and passages to the head. The area is being milled flat like the 05-up block. There is no o-rings on these ones (I already have them).

    I'm really looking for the measurements from the main bearing journals.

    cheers.

    I don’t believe the casting even had the galley running for the squirters there. Unfortunate I don’t have the measurements or an easy way to nab them.

    Many on the way.
    Great mod. Best I can do is this picture. Unknown what year block this is, but it shows the location fairly well. They appear to be plumbed into the main oil galley.
