My truck has a LSD, and I’m curious of it’s gearing? I was going to ask the group if the 05 DC 4x4 with a LSD and tow package had 4:10 or 4:30 gears.

couldn’t find a thread and figured I ask before spinning the axle off the ground and checking.

    thanks,

Hey Joe, from what I’ve seen 05 DC 4x4 LSD w/ tow package usually came with 4.10 gears stock. It’s plenty torquey, good luck, man, enjoy!

There seems to be a lot of misinformation floating around online regarding the differential gear ratios in first gen Tundras. The information is all laid out in the sales brochures, most of which can be found in the MEGATHREAD. Towing packages have no effect on gear ratios, they only add things like trans coolers and a 7 pin wiring harness. The axle code printed on the vin plate on the door won't tell you what you need to know. The dealer can determine the gear ratio from the vin.

I still have the sticker from the window when it was new. I don’t remember seeing it on there but I will have to double check when I get home. If not displayed there I will call the dealer to run the vin. I’m very curious now. Thanks everyone
