    Still rocking the stock height.
I have owned one pair of Oakleys, but they broke one year and one day after I got them. I have not been able to find another pair that fit my big head. Now I normally just just a cheap pair from Academy. I have a hard time getting any of the name brands to fit my head. Need to keep trying to find a pair of nice ones that fit.

I've worn a few brands from Kaenon, Persol, Maui Jim, Oakley (Tundra Crue favorite), Arnette, Von Zippers, Smith, Electric, Hoven all of which are polarized and ideal around water. The current favorite has been Kaenon Jetty and Kaenon Malaga on the way.

Hoven is a good reasonably priced polarized sunglasses.

I started out with the half-jackets, but got tired of replacing the nose pieces and the socks. I found the Bottle Rockets and have had them since! Their just like the half jacket, but they don't have the extra pieces and parts to lose. I've had mine now for 3 years and love them! I've replaced the lenses several times for about $30 a pop.

Thanks guys I ended up going with the Oakley Gascan blackside prism black polarized. I visited an Oakley store over the weekend and it was between those and the crankshaft. Again thanks for the input

Older thread, but highly relevant to my current needs.

The favorite pair of glasses I've ever owned.....Costas with the polarized green glass lens...are about to be sent back after years of great use for a temple piece coming off.

The polarization doesn't play well with the HUD on my new Tundra....nor does it work with most gas pump displays and other stuff.
Gonna feel weird not going polarized.....but this next pair will likely live in the truck and hopefully my repaired/replaced Costas will arrive for everywhere else.

Going to give these a hard look.

I want MADE IN AMERICA and made to last.

Heck yeah.....just saw they have polarized lenses that play well with HUD, gas pump displays, ATM's, etc. :monocle:

    :nuclear:

I believe I'm going to give a pair of Gatorz Warhawk w/ the gold mirror OPZ lenses a try.

Struggled to make up my mind……so I am also getting a pair of their Specters w/ the dark grey OPZ lens and adding the removable foam insert that seal them for yard work and similar use.

I use Oakley Sliver XL's for the most part (glasses in my avatar). I also have a couple of my Dad's aviators that I use from time to time.

I have been wearing the Gatorz with their OPZ polarized lenses for a couple weeks now.

I have a two pair of RX Oakley sunglasses, Crosshairs and Holbrooks.

I also have a pair of RX Maui Jims.

I always get some sort of discount where I get all my eyewear, and their customer support is top notch. Last December I purchased three pairs of RX Oakleys and they tossed in 3 Oakley tees, and an Oakley backpack. Purchasing new glasses is a bit of an addiction for me, lol.

Serengeti are the best drivers I’ve ever had. Glass lenses, polarized, kinda pricey. Only place I can find them nowadays is on my pilot store online.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
Oakley is still selling glasses..... Err....I mean they are still selling thermonuclear protection? I used to wear them 30 years ago. I think they were Blades. Over a $100 for a pair of glasses back then. Now I stick with cheap sunglasses. I go through too many pairs to try to keep a good pair. Dogs biting while sitting on counter, dropping, bumping my head into shit, etc.... Now it is a push to spend more than $20.

    3 for 16 dollars.
I seem to be the only guy here who does dirty work and sweats all over his glasses needing to wipe them on my shirt a lot. Leads to scratched lenses. I've mowed pairs over, I've run pairs over, a lot of times I just forget where I put them. Can't make it make sense to spend money on sunglasses anymore. These are polarized and work great out in the sun 6-8 hours everyday.

Not knocking folks with nice glasses, I used to go that route, but I realized my lifestyle doesn't match up with fancy delicate things. I'm not trying to be some tough guy either, just a bunch of lawn mowing and wood chipping, mixed in with a bad memory.

Used to wear Oakley (still have a pair of metal Holbrooks in my truck) but the last 3 pairs I've bought have been Shady Rays or Goodr and I don't think I'll go back.

Went to Costco about 2 months ago, and was looking for glasses in general.

Evidently Costco is the place to go for RX glasses (sun or otherwise). Walked out with two pairs of glasses on order - one regular, one sunglasses - with all the add-ons (polarization, scratch resistant, blue ray filtering, etc.) for $250 - that's NOT running it through my insurance (as I'd already used it on one set of glasses). That's not bad at all!

I got some nice ones from the 7-11 a few years ago and they had been pretty good until I lost them last week camping. I think the brand was Yin Chang, or something like that. Had to super glue fix one of the hinges last year but otherwise they were great. Going back to check out their selection.

I have prescription sunglasses with Transitions Drivewear lenses. They are a copper colored polarized lens that darkens in the sun, a little lighter inside or under cloudy skies. https://drivewear.com/ I use 'em for driving and on the water.

I have a set of Maui Jim’s I wear when the sun is strong outside. I don’t wear them as often as I used to due to the need for prescription lenses. For that I have transition lenses for my prescription Oakley glasses. Those I typically drive around using.

I've tried that approach, but I can't seem to keep them filtered. I have a few nice pairs with prescriptions that are all scratched and messed up from weed whacking in them by accident. So basically I'm an idiot, and don't have the mental capacity for that!

Wiley X. Bonus if you wear prescription glasses, they do factory prescription lenses. I've been wearing them for 15 years or so. They have been indestructible. I spend many days on the water.
