Here in MI it has to be a FULL 25 years, so technically not until the 26th year after the model year. Used to be you could ONLY drive them to car shows and "transporting", but they have since changed that to add Memorial day to Labor day unlimited.
I highly doubt if anyone has ever been ticketed for driving outside those perimeters though. I guess I am going to test that theory in 2026

Can't do the antique tags here in arkansas unless it's a club car show queen. Minimal miles driven and pretty much all original.

Yeah our rule is for parades, car shows, testing purposes and pleasure cruises. Well every time I take the Tundra out is a pleasure cruise haha.

I see this said somewhat often and always wonder what it means to the person saying it and how it translates to the next person and so on.
Like is it to use a truck as a pickup, tow pig, utility/work truck, an off-road/camping rig, and/or to transport goods/services?

In my mind, a body on frame SUV is a truck, too. Especially if it has a V8 and/or 4wd. Hell I'd even consider most 2wd utes to be trucks.

I just always wonder what people mean when they say use a truck as a truck. I get it though, with the popularity of the short bed 4 door pickups that rarely do more than commute or haul passengers. Never seen dirt, or tow, rarely have cargo.

We could’ve pulled him up that last 20’ or so and he would’ve been fine. The dude in the orange truck said it was worse further into the trail so Rusty turned back. The trail was easy the rest of the way…

You think it would have taken just one of us or a train to pull em up it? I'll never forget back when I had a Tacoma prerunner, I got stuck in the mud behind the dunes on the beach. It took another first gen taco attached to a second gen taco (both 4wd) to pull me out lol

That big ass hill of quicksand to reach the top; I tried twice, then accepted the reality. Turned around to go back to camp, got buried, and then Emelio ripped off half my rear bumper (my fault, bumper was lacking and I shoulda tied up to the axle or frame) If you guys remember, I wasn't makin the first long hill, but got by with a tugjob. It's all good tho. Where were you guys on Go Fast Friday? oh yeah.... spectating

Same. I don't recall if I still had the LSD or had the e-locker. Either way, I can only imagine attempting it with an open diff.

Maybe if you had 2lo as an option with your diff locked, you'd have made it.
The world may never know. But if a 1st gen Taco TRD 4x4 (with the grey wire mod and 2lo mod) shows up next time, it would be cool to test the theory.

I found these in the correct size for my wife's Kia Sorento X-Line and have been contemplating those or a size bigger of the Continental CrossContact LX25 that I put on my CR-V (they don't make her stock size). The CrossContact are awesome in water so far and wearing very well. But the Coopers would look great on her more "off-roading" look to hers. the Coopers are cheaper than the Continentals too. I plan on getting those on the Tundra when I replace the tires that are on it now.

Way to early to say, but so far liking them. The look is just what we wanted. The ride is good ( a little stiffer than the stock Forteras) and they are quiet. They are heavier than the stock tire option, but I don't really feel it much in the jeep. It's a pretty solid rig to start with.
