I couldn't get rid of a PO420 or a PO137 for over 2 years. Tried every defouler imaginable without success. I just ditched my OTT tune and went with Sniv so I can play around on my own. Plus I needed to pass emissions. It seems the newer trucks are a little more finicky than the older ones. The tune he provided is equally as impressive as my OTT. I was able to successfully pass emmsions and I've put over 500 miles on the truck with no check engine light. If you want I can PM you about it.

Yep he’s adjusted my tune also. With that and these shouldn’t have issues come December for emissions testing.

Ok cool. I just took a trip to Vermont and it was nice to not see that check engine light for the whole trip and was able to actually use my cruise control.

Anyone have a good front timing cover? The one from my original motor has scoring, waiting to find out if the '18 motor's is ok.

I have one from that engine I disassembled, let me check it out this evening and will let you know if it's good to go. I've got a modified XAT cover that I'm going to use.

    Thanks!

Hopefully I don't need it, shop owner was on vacation, supposed to be back today. I called a few hours ago, left a message. Sent a text 10 minutes ago, asking if the cover was ok and for the status, he responded he is having a transmission issue and can't get out of the campground. :p

YUP!!! I'm pretty sure its only the 18's and up that have radar cruise control. It wont even let you use the regular cruise if the cel is on.

For some reason Toyota made it so the cruise control doesn't work if the check engine light is on. I would be on a trip using cruise control and then you would hear a quick "beep beep" on the dash, check engine light on, and cruise control would be cancelled. I have a Scan gauge 3 mounted on the dash so I used to just clear the code and use cruise again. But man is that annoying.

Yes. Now you know why your help was so valuable. All 8 of my monitors have now set and cruise control worked for the whole trip.

Does your truck have a smart cruise or whatever they call it? My wife's LS430 is the same.

Yea radar cruise. I was so surprised when it first happened. All I could say was "really Toyota?"

When my cats got stolen on my '18 I straight piped it. With trial and error, I was able to get rid of the 0420 and 0430 with a defouler and a 90 degree defouler screwed together. I have a pic somewhere if anyone needs it for reference.

Also, no cruise control when the CEL would come on. I don't think it's exclusive to Toyota either.

When I put long tubes on, no combination of defoulers would work. Would either get the 420,430 or 013A and C I think it was. I could get one set or the other to clear, but not both.

idk about Toyota, but if there's check engine light on my JK, then remote start doesn't work either.

    I believe so.

I wanted to see if there was a side view to see if there's any noticeable difference in its appearance.

Yup. Drove 6hrs with no cruise because of a cat code. Glad I brought the laptop for remote tuning.
