Small potatoes, but I'm pretty excited about this new purchase. Heading out for the maiden voyage now.

The only new purchase tool that’s not worth being excited about is a shovel, there’s nothing fun about digging holes…

So, that trimmer is pretty amazing. I only used it on LOW and it did everything I wanted to do. Granted I am coming from a 23 year old Snapper S31SST that I have struggled with for the last 5+ years to keep running.
Not wearing any hearing protection was nice (Lets be honest, I didn't wear it all the time before anyway), and no vibrations like gas powered. Happy

I put the old trimmer out at the street, with a carb and parts box, and almost a full tank of gas... it was gone in 10 minutes. I bet they get it running for a few more years too. Gave him the thumbs up as he drove off :D

My next door neighbor has it. It’s pretty wild only hearing the string cutting the air and grass. It basically makes no noise.

Nice! I picked this up along with the pole saw combo when it was on sale for father's day. I am happy with the purchase

Absolute beast of a trimmer. I've got all those attachments other than the hedge trimmer. Pole saw is on the shorter side if you have taller trees. I ended up buying the extension and it helps a lot.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing the power behind it with just (for me) an old XC 4.0 pack. Still in the honeymoon stage with it... typically I run with no guard and manual string head. So at some point when the bump-feed fails I'll rip the guts out and go back to manually stringing it. The guard may come off sooner than that though

Wait till you try an HO battery in it. I left the guard but took off the little metal bracket that cuts the string. That bump head has been flawless the past 2-3 years for me...might be a while before it fails!

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve got both generations of that power head along with the brush cutter, string trimmer, and pole saw attachments. There’s not much I would break out my Stihl brush cutter for at this point - dealing with the hot exhaust, mixed gas, noise, vibrations… I have both heads so I can load up the trimmer and the brush cutter and my wife and I can divide and conquer some of the gnarly spots on our property. With the Forge 8.0 and 12.0 batteries they run as long as I can stand to go without taking a break anyway.
