Installed Beat Sonics amp…..easy install and well worth the money, sounds great. You can also install without removing the HU if you have nimble hands

Looks great! Was there a reason you dropped from the 20" rims to the 18"? I'm new to Tundras (always had 4runners before going with a 25' 1794 Hybrid a couple months ago) and have already scraped the rims on my 1794 w/ 20"s a handful of times. I was thinking of maybe going to the 18"s with the WildPeaks AT4W's as well. Just wanted to know your thoughts! Thanks much!

Congrats! I installed mine this past week as well. I am super pleased with the install and the result. Makes a big difference in sound. I intended to do before and after vids, but life got in the way.

I'm glad everyone has great things to say about the Beatsonics, I'm about to pull the trigger on one.

35s and 17s = it’ll never look like you’ve curbed your wheels;) I’m sure with 18s it’d be hard to scrape the wheels + you can actually get skinny 35s and more positive offset wheels like the BBS’s

I am newer to Tundras as well, but well versed in Tacoma's.

I went with smaller rims for a few reasons....
-More sidewall. I prefer the look, and it keeps the rims safer from rocks/potential curb strikes
-Better offset. TrdOR rim is +60, and these are somewhere in the 40s. ~34-38 is ideal for max clearance for bigger tires IIRC

I didn't want the tires to stick out and have the "bro" look so these are perfect, plus I like that style of rim that Toyota does. The Tacoma variant is similar and I loved it as well.

The wild peak AT4s are one of the best truck tire I've ever used. They aren't loud, have amazing traction in the rain and snow, and look great. You can't go wrong with them, tho, I would shy away from Es unless your really offloading or heavily towing.

I put some Matt black inlay in the 1794 Limited Edition stamp on the tailgate. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but I do!

It rained right after my SIL and I installed them and I was to lazy to wash it before I took the after photos but even dirty it looks good.

Not bad. Just had a thought. Anyone ever try to hand paint the tailgate letters? Me personally would like a smooth tailgate. No letters.

The Beatsonic is a great first audio mod. After having mine for a few months I upgraded the front corner speakers from the OEM 2" to a coaxial 3.5". The speaker upgrade resulted in cleaner mid (vocals) and high tones. My rig has the non-JBL 9 speaker system (now with 11 speakers).

Is it an actual amp or is it just tweaking the sound for it "sounds better"

    Could have checked myself, noted.

Going to lookup the stock JBL HU to see how much more juice the best sonic pushes vs stock

The Beatsonic does push more power to the speakers but not a tremendous amount more power. The OEM speakers are not really designed to handle much more than the factory amp puts out.

It also cleans up the sound via a non adjustable DSP. (There is an expensive unit that is adjustable via a pc connection)

It is not a high-end audio system but if you want better sound and don't crank your music up to ear damaging levels then it's a fine upgrade. The factory door woofer speakers are actually pretty decent at moderate volume.

The stock JBL system is lacking in a lot of areas imo. The front door speakers carry almost all the bass load, the rear sub is joke to say the least. I also recall the JBL system to put out 1200w, I call bs.

Cat back TRD exh, Heritage grille, fog lights, 35x12.5x20” Nitto, low profile toolbox
    Added a few TRD logos…

    - New quarter panel TRD Off-Road logos (Amazon) in all-black to keep the white truck’s blackout look going.
    - Picked up 2 TRD aftermarket emblems I got in the dealership’s parts mart. One was small TRD letters with red/white flags. The 2nd was larger but had orange/yellow flags attached to TRD. Broke the flags off both.
    - Used smaller rd/white flag w/ larger TRD letters on tailgate.
    - Put smaller TRD letters on passenger dash panel. Tossed the orange flags. Also added Tundra emblems into passenger dash insert to match.

Does any of this make it a TRD Tundra? Nope.
But it does have more TRD equipment than most TRD Off Road package trucks.
20” TRD rims, TRD 3” Lift/suspension, TRD skid plate, TRD center exhaust, & TRD dual tip tailpipe, Heritage grill.
Added aftermarket fog lights back from the TRD fog-delete, & AFE tow hooks.IMG_0554.jpg IMG_7493.jpg IMG_7492.jpg IMG_7497.jpg

I wrote to beatsonic and asked about this. Their amp is not an amp and doesn't drive the speakers. It functions more like a preamp. So the head unit still drives the speakers at the same wattage.

Installed the TRD dual tail pipe. Wiggling the stock tail pipe out was a huge pain in the ass, but worth it in the end.

Also picked up parts for the Pro tailgate spoiler and the main piece was broken when I got home. Going to have to call the dealership Monday to get that figured out.

Nice job doing the tail pipe in your driveway. Rough doing it w/o a lift. It’s so easy if you can get the truck just 3’ or more off the ground - just slides out/in over the axle.

I was worried about it before installing but I don’t even notice it anymore. This one was a scratch n dent and he only wanted 400 for it, well worth it! I will say the ladder is not worth it. It’s VERY easy to have slip out from under your feet and it’s not fun when that happens.

Ended up having to jack up the body just enough to let the axle droop and slide it over. I fought with it for way too long before realizing that was probably the answer though.
