FN Fx wheels, who is interested?

I checked out your build thread - sweet truck!

I see that you have Fuel wheels right now with 37" tires. The 18" FX Pro flow formed load rating and test standard is at a minimum equivalent to your Fuel wheels. Since our FX Pro is manufactured via the flow form method, the barrel of the FX Pro should be stronger than your current wheels.

Once we get the requisite number of customers I will send out messages requesting deposits. I'll keep the deposit period open for two weeks, during which time we can take additional orders that will be eligible for the pre-tariff pricing plus the pre-order discount. Once that two week period ends I will place the order with my factory, and no further discounts will be available.

To be safe, I will project that the ETA will be 4-6 months from the time we place the order with our manufacturer, but there's a good chance they'll come in more quickly than that.

I would call it "medium dark" matte bronze. It's not a bright, orange-yellow bronze like some of the Method wheels, and it's not a super dark brown either.

We also use satin-matte clear coat on all of our matte wheels. Our wheels don't have a super dull, rough textured matte finish like some of the other manufacturers, and we do this on purpose. Satin matte clear coats provide superior durability and the wheels are easier to clean compared to dull matte clear coats.

In the past I've also offered a high gloss dark gunmetal finish that is my all time favorite color for this wheel (we still offer it in 17x8" +0 6x139.7 for the older 6-lug Toyotas). We can definitely bring this color back if I have enough requests:

I agree. Both colors look killer on white vehicles.

I don't have any pictures of the wheels in high gloss dark gunmetal or matte bronze on white Sequoias, but these are good examples of both colors on similar vehicles in white.

Just noticed these are 5 lug not 6 iug for the newer gen. So don't count me in for this group buy, but I will take a look at some of your other wheels. Thanks for all the quick replies.

Yes, you can definitely pick up from us in Corona. We can deduct the shipping if you pick up your wheels.

We can get a separate list going for the third generation (2022+) Tundra as well. Here are a couple of images of 18x9" +0mm 6x139.7 (a version that we offered previously):





+0mm offset is too aggressive for the 2022+ Tundra (in my opinion). The maximum offset that we can offer in 6x139.7 is +28mm. Here's a 3D rendering of what that would look like:



The face profile is identical. The dish/bowl around the center PCD area (lug hole area) for the +28mm offset would just be about 1" shallower than the +0mm offset version shown above (very similar to the 18x9" +25 5x150 version in previous posts, except with the 6x139.7 bolt pattern instead).

 

Agreed a +25 +28 would be much better I might head down to your shop as I want to see how the bronze looks up against the blueprint color on the truck. But if you get a group buy on the black I might jump in on that.

 

All good information, what is the most aggressive offset you would recommend for the 2.5 gen tundra, no more than 18+ offset?

 

+25 is perfect for my needs

 

I think 25-35 so far is the sweet spot for a lot of people, I have seen 18 look good too. But depends on your needs.

I can definitely show you matte bronze in person. I'm here working today for another hour or so, but after tomorrow morning I won't be here in person for approximately one week. If you can't make it today I can show you matte bronze, matte black and the other colors anytime after July 15.

9" width with +25mm offset works really well on the 2.5 gen Tundra. That's what I have on my Tundra as well.

We have made wheels with offsets as low as +12mm for the 2.5 gen Tundra, and we sill make some +18mm offset wheels. In the case of the +18mm offset it has more to do with achieving a deep, concave face profile with the highest possible offset, and a little less to do with optimal fitment, although there's nothing wrong with +18mm offset. The wheels still look and fit great on the 2.5 gen Tundra.

We're working on a couple of new options right now with offsets somewhere in the range of +30 ~ +45mm. I've had quite a few requests recently for higher offset wheels to keep the tire completely inside the wheel wells (no poke). These designs will be more face-forward / flat compared to wheels with offsets in the teens and twenties, but I think they'll still look good.

I definitely agree with that. For the majority of Gen 2, Gen 2.5 and even Gen 3 Tundra owners an offset in the range of +25 ~ +35 is the sweet spot. With that said, I'm anxious to offer some wheels with a little higher offsets too. The design will not be the FX Pro though. The FX Pro design needs to have an offset lower than +35 to look good, otherwise the face would be too convex.

The Guy will only modify certain brands that He feels are built well enough to withstand the extra pressure.

I agree, I think it’s a good choice, especially since everything cost wise is always going up. I contemplated a lot of different wheels. The flow form and metal alone is worth it to me.
