    Good morning,

Brought my truck home last night. Used 24 TRD Pro with 8500 miles on it. Had noticed that some of the panels on the rear bumper were not fully seated, thinking there could have been some minor damage to it. (although clean CarFax) Was able to reseat things fine.

Hooked it up to give it a full scan, and noticed a couple of DTCs were thrown (no MIL). Are these concerning or potentially just transient?

C14FE14 // Steering Angel Sensor Supply Voltage Circuit Short to Ground or Open
U023A87 // Lost Communication with Image processing Module A: Missing Message

Dealer did sell me on a 2K supplemental warranty with no deductible that has bumper to bumper coverage for 100k miles, so I'll push for this all to be fixed.

Curious if anyone else has experience with these?

I would clear the codes and drive it. If they come back you can start troubleshooting.

It looks like those codes relate to a precollison system warning system. You may want to pull your grill and check the connection at the sensor there. Then I would clear the codes and see if they come back. If they do, I would definitely take it back for a diagnostic and get to the bottom of it because if it was something related to the sensors, those are EXPENSIVE. And the recalibration is time intensive as well…..

I haven't bought a used vehicle in 40 years. But, if I had to buy one today, I think I would take my scanner to the dealership and demand they let me scan the vehicle before I committed to the purchase.

looked at this a little closer this morning. I think things may be OK. the screen/UI shows some malfunctions in alerts too, but they are all from May of 2024, and no new alerts any newer than that. I'm guessing at some point something went wrong with the vehicle, and for some reason the dealer didn't bother clearing the DTCs or Alerts in the screen UI.

I'm going to clear them and see if they return!
