    Guys,

My 2019 Tundra TRD's head unit has a shattered digitizer (the touch-sensitive glass layer only). My fault. (<==in fact that's my wife's fault, but she would deny it...)

While the LCD screen itself is still functional, the touch feature no longer works.
I found a replacement digitizer online for $30. While asked, my fav Toyota dealership refuses to install it, claiming it's a non-serviceable module and that Toyota HQ has banned them from performing such repairs. Their solution is to sell me a brand new unit for $1450.

I also contacted a local "mom and pop" audio/alarm shop, but they quoted a questionable price. $1,300 just to replace the glass, not the entire radio? WTF?

Given these f... costly options, I'm now wondering if there's an aftermarket unit that could serve as a suitable replacement? It needs to retain the functionality of the original unit, especially the backup camera. Ideally, I'd also love to gain extra features like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (or however you nerds call it :)).

I'm open to any suggestions you might have!

    Thank you!

What about the trail grid pro radio options? JBL option or not matters. The radios are setup very different.

What model head unit do you have? JBL or no? You don’t have your tundra listed in your signature to know what model you have. Replacement head units are all over eBay and Facebook marketplace for cheap.
