2024 Tundra Hybrid Limited is showing some corrosion on the rear window door channel run. I am not sure if this part is the window panel run, window seal or weather stripping as the parts diagrams online diagrams are all over the place. This truck only has 16,000 miles on it and is not old, so any ideas why this corrosion is showing up? I tried rubbing it off with some different corrosion remover products, but they made minimal improvement. Appears as iff it's rapid oxidation of the finish or similar to rust. Any ideas? Thanks for any advice.

Trees, I see plenty in your reflection. If you frequently park under trees and don't specifically wipe those areas when you wash it, it'll build up. To me, it doesn't look like corrosion, but mold from trees.

I'll look closer at this suggestion, although I do not park under trees regularly (very rarely) and this trim is the only area on the entire truck corroding like this. The rest of the trims and body are all in good condition.

I have a 2024 and mine has the exact same issue. My truck is outside most of the time but the closest tree is 40 feet away. I just bleached the crap out of it and used meguires ultimate black to restore it back to somewhat normal

That’s interesting..if I were to guess (and I am) I would say it wasnt treated/sealed properly on build. Should be covered under warranty?

If this in fact corrosion, it's covered. Return to dealer.
