So, it might not be the best decision I’ve made, but it’s going in kydex. Interesting to me that out there in the knife world, this design is marketed as a kitchen/culinary knife. When you hold and handle it, the knife feels very much like a fighter or a camp knife. Another factor for me is that I’m behind on my leather sheaths by about 4 knives.
I definitely agree with you both. I wish you could see and feel the stabilized piece of cherry wood on the knife, in person. Pictures don’t do it justice.

This little Bowie has a core for the cutting edge of Aogami Super Blue #1 and a layer on each side of pure nickel separating it from the outer layer of 210 layer Damascus. The scales are pin oak from Arizona that is stabilized and has a touch of green dye.

Seems like the PNW has more knife makers than coffee shops! It’s always nice to see knife makers doing really “made in the USA” stuff.
I can’t find the out the steel they use. Do you have any information?

Blade-Tech belt clip allows multiple configurations for carrying. Left side, right side, scout or conventional.

I was unaware of any fuss about this knife, what am I missing?

for a knife made with d2 steel and solid for under $10, it seems to have a good place in any truck or toolbox. If there’s no slop in the action and the lock works fine, buy several.

Just handling it out of the box bubble pack - - Slop is less than .01 - not that noticeable, and it seems to lock up solid enough. For a $50 knife, the action is a bit stiff, the crossbar is a bit clunky, the scales' surface is not quite as refined as you'd expect, and they're nylon. For a $10 knife - - holy cow!

There are videos that show the edge on it is probably burned (linked below), which I suppose I'll find out when I use it. Other than that, I don't feel embarrassed recommending for situations where someone needs a beater/throw-away folder, or maybe for a kid who would be prone to lose it. Way worth $10.
