Picks are in for this weekend, feel like its pretty hard to pick against Jett and Eli going 1 - 2 or 2 - 1 after last weekend.

When I was in my teens and still raced, there was a guy I would often see when I raced at Firebird (Phoenix). Dude only had one arm so clutch, throttle and front brake all with his right hand, not to mention holding on to the bars. Amazing thing is, he was pretty damn fast.

Lots of guys train this way. I tried this again in the woods. lol. Looked like a pregnant retarded ostrich.

Pretty crazy. I bet modern 4 strokes help, back when I was racing it was all 2 smokes. Clutch use was mandatory, at least that's how I rode unless I was on a 500, which pretty much wanted to kill me no matter how I rode it.

Clutch is almost mandatory on a small bore 2smoke. I'm sure not much is needed on the modern 300cc ones though. They are potent weapons. The last 2 stroke I owned was 2002 Honda CR250.

For us at our current living...we will be staying 4stroke.

Eli needs to work on his starts ( historically not great ) if he has any shot at another championship. He looked great last weekend and the first moto, the second moto start killed his chances. Washing the front end halfway in the moto did NOT help !

Love me some 2 strokes. YZ250X was the last dirt bike owned. My mind wants another one badly, my body and wallet don't, it's a constant battle.

35 points this week. Would have had a lot more if.....Sucks for Eli in that second moto. If he didn't crash it might have been a salvageable situation. You cannot have inconsistent days like this against Jett, he is too good!

Well if I was not so sentimental to the old man I would have nailed the top four positions. Only got 58 points though. Probably should stop picking Eli for the win but he is bound to come through at some point the way he is riding. Team Honda has something figured out on the starts with their electronics. Even Hymas in the 250's is nailing them.

Yes I know I'm old but I wish they get rid of any kind of traction control, ignition retardants, electronic gadgets . . . hell I don't even like the hole shot device on the forks ! Put it back in the hands of the riders or it will be just like F1 and NASCAR. ( Rant over, have a nice day )

I hear ya, agree with all that, and I wish they would get rid of the 4 strokes and go back to the oil burning dirt bikes

I did horrible this week at Southwick on my picks. I figured Tomac would do better and he had a not so Tomac like day. Also Plessinger had an off weekend. And J. Coop has so much speed but can't seem to put it together on race day?? Happy to see Prado showed up but I had Hampshire for fifth and Prado screwed that up lol. Anyway was only able to aquire 25 points. :(

    Red Bud next weekend! :oldglory:

Prado and Vialle, I was expecting more out of them outdoors. Red. Bud is always good. MXoN should be at Glen Helen !

I agree! Maybe next time it comes here it will be at GH? But Ironman is a pretty good track and races well. That's all I like to see, is a track that races well. Cannot stand one line tracks like most of the supercross tracks.

GH it's just so iconic and the fact that they don't have an AMA national is ridiculous. I know both sides piss in their Cheerios and they'll probably never come to an agreement to get a national back there until there are changes in administration by both parties.

If I remember correctly from what I have read they are arguing over vendors, t-shirt suppliers, advertising rights and ticket prices.
