Hello I'm a disabled veteran trying to repair a 2006 Toyota tundra with a 4.0 engine

    Trying to replace ground wire from battery to motor. Can I just add a cable instead of tracking cable mess

    You can run a new cable from the battery to the motor and zip tie it along the harness. It should be fine as long as it is secured and away from the fan, belts, etc.

    I would wrap it around the existing ground wire to minimize any ground loop effects.

    Hello, and thank you for your service. I'm genuinely interested in why you would lead with being a disabled veteran instead of just asking about the repair? Are you looking for someone to help you? If so, then maybe a general location would be warranted.
