    Hi all,

Perspective Tundra buyer here. I have my eyes set on the following build but am wondering if anyone has seen anything like this out there? I am being told by a dealership that these packages aren't being built (or aren't available?) on a double cab configuration... even though the toyota.com builder lists them as options.

    2025 Tundra SR5 Double Cab 4x4, 6.5ft Bed
Packages: Advanced Off-Road Technology Package, Premium Audio Package, TRD Off-Road Premium Package

If anyone has seen something like this out there, please let me know! TIA :fingerscrossed:

Are you asking about that package configuration in general or that configuration on that diarrhea shit brown "Terra" color too? The dealership may be right as terra is one of the worst colors that Toyota ever produced. But hey, if you like it, buy it.

My main question is about that configuration in general. I have done a fair amount of searching with the Toyota inventory locator and am not finding those three packages on one vehicle.

Color wise I am open to anything except for Black. But for the record, I happen to like Terra lol

I may be biased toward Lunar Rock....

We know you can't order exactly what you want from Toyota so you have to play the searching game. I got lucky and got exactly what I wanted. I watched for a long time. I still kind of watch and see different options. So, I think Toyota rolls out specific combinations in batches and then goes to the next combo. You may get lucky by waiting. There is hope. For a unicorn like that, maybe not a lot of hope, but if you go buy another variation, you will start to see what you wanted all the time.

Well, why is that? Why do they even let you 'customize' on their website if it's a sheetshoot?

It’s basically a search tool. Once you configure what you desire, it gives you the option to search dealer inventory. There is no option to ‘order’ your configuration.

You can try to see if your dealer will submit the build and Toyota Corp may or may not allocate that build in the next 6+ months to the dealer. If you're willing to wait an unknown amount of time you can get what you want...

I think I will have to go that route. Don’t mind waiting for the dream truck!

So far I have located one Tundra that meets this criteria: Platinum Toyota or Texoma. Spoke with a sales rep and said it was a “special order” and is pre-sold. Unclear on if they’ll work with me since I’m out of state.

Also chatting with Quality Toyota in Kansas. Payton helped YouTuber Talon Sei track down two different “unicorn” vehicles in the past. I’m hoping he can do the same for me.

For reference, I submitted a build in September 2024, it was selected for build in Jan 2025 and delivered in March 2025

Have you looked at one in person? The double cab is VERY small in the back seat dept.

I agree with that - if you are going to submit for build you might as well get a crewmax + 6.5' bed.. it's a bit longer but not unmanageable

Yes, it’s definitely on the small side but I am not concerned about that. Most likely scenario is installing a Goose Gear seat delete for the back row. At most it’s my wife and dog in the car with me. And if/when we do need to bring people with us we always have her XC60 to fall back on

I have a 2022 Double Cab with all of these packages so they are out there but will be hard to find as most people want a Crewmax. I just happened to stumble across mine one morning. Went to the dealership at lunch and bought it that afternoon. Was a lease turn in with 8000 miles. Had been on the lot for a while due to being a double cab.

Man that's the ticket right there. I LOVE that color! We had an Army Green Tacoma for awhile. Where did you end up buying yours?

Found it used at a Chevy dealer in Roanoke VA. It has grown a little since the original picture.

Terra is a fine color OP, if you like it, then that's all that matters.

@poole34 when you have a chance, can you measure the height between the top of the bed rail and the roof of the cab? Trying to determine if I can run a roof rack with a camper setup. TIA

That is exactly the config I wanted and was told by more than a handful of folks and different dealers across the country it was a no go to actually get it built

That's the build I have in my Lunar Rock 2023 DC, although they have jiggered the options packages as to what feature is where a little for 2025. Mine also has the hard folding tonneau cover. Be aware, if you aren't already, that the power Softex seats in the SR5 trim do not get seat/mirror memory function, regardless of option packages, if that is important to you. If it is, you need to step up to Limited... but then it gets even harder to find a DC.

Limited DC's aren't an option for Model Year 2025; that ended in 2024... There was a rumor filled post on one of the FB groups a while ago that was saying that SR5 DC's may go the way of the dodo for MY2026 and have it only be available in SR trim

Dang, good to know. Hoping that is not actually the case. It's a unique build but would fit my use case perfectly!
