Solid upgrade for the JBL system. Installed in less then 10 minutes.

Just another post recommending the amp.

You gotta share more than that. What makes you say “solid upgrade”?

    Fair enough.

There's actually bass now... which is nice to hear. I have the JBL upgrade but its been a bit flat, even with adjustments. The best sonic opens up the sound across bass, mid and treb.

Its a bit fuller sounding too where previously, it was always sounded a little cloudy (while also being flat).

Volume is different too. Though I didn't do any sort of scientific check. Sound at 10 is now better then sound at 20 without the amp.

Appreciate the feedback, been thinking about giving it a try even though at first I was a solid no.

No prob. I was on the fence as well considering the JBL system is an upgrade but took a chance. Im a music guy for what it's worth and since im in a new truck, i think its worth it since I'll enjoy it for at least 3 years.

So after the sub overhaul, I can be ripping down the highway with the windows open and find it hard to get everything loud enough, minus the subs. I do have my amp gains set using a max volume of 40 on the headunit. I need to check the factory system to see if it clips and at what volume and then re-set my amp gains.

Oye. I have gain set around 1oclock on the dial. The difference between 10 before amp and 10 after amp is significant.

I used to listen at around 25/27 and still felt like I was missing "sound". After installing the amp, 18-20 is comfortable and it just gets better from there.

Open windows (fronts only) sounded good at highway speeds around 55, radio on low 20s.

I am referring to the gains on my two sub amps. I would be curious to see/know if by adding the beatsonic amp, are you potentially clipping the factory speakers, and even clipping at a lower volume.

    What’s wrong with stock?
Can’t agree more. For the money they are a the best upgrade.

If it weren't for needing something better for a GPS setup (Mine is just an SR so nothing on the factory but bluetooth sound and it's less than ideal to just use the phone display), I'd jump on one of these. Seems a simple and well engineered product for the lacking signal in these Toyota factory units if not wanting to to do a full audio overhaul.
I still may do one if I can talk myself into buying a decent phone holder for the GPS part.

What size amp did you get? I am looking for a cheaper method to increase the sound without replacing the entire system.
