No idea about that. When it first popped up and I looked into it apparently there had been a lot of fights and calls about the guy. He was really erratic and problematic according to the article I saw. Don't think that justifies him getting shot unless he got aggressive, though.

Brian and the Boys were a huge part of my youthful summer of 1975. He can truly rest in peace knowing that he created one of THEE three best and most respected rock albums of all time in Pet Sounds. Sail on..........sail on............Sailor.

I had no idea that Buster Poindexter was in the New York Dolls.
I never knew they were the same person.

 

Hell, apparently he was the singer.

 

I'm not a New York Dolls fan, I couldn't name one song.
I'm vaguely aware of who they are.
I just didn't know Buster had any relation to the band, despite being the singer.

 

Rick Hurst known as Cletus from the Dukes of Hazzard passed. I grew up watching this show. @texasrho83 I bet you did too

Dave Parker, a hard-hitting outfielder who was set to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame next month, has died, the Pittsburgh Pirates announced Saturday. He was 74.

No further details about Parker's death were immediately available. The Pirates informed the crowd of his death just before the start of their game against the New York Mets and held a moment of silence.

Nicknamed “the Cobra,” the six-foot-five Parker made his major league debut in 1973 and played 19 seasons, 11 for the Pirates. He was the NL MVP in 1978, won a World Series with Pittsburgh a year later and then won another championship in 1989 with the Oakland Athletics.
