Drove the car to get e85, tested 85%.

Damn O2 stopped reporting, swapped in another new sensor, no change. Waiting for the tuner to get back to me on fixing it.

It is running great, also, THIS:

Was that IAT reading before or after the 9PSI? 164 degrees F is getting up there, any pinging or recorded knock?

That was after idling in the garage for about 20 minutes, the 9lbs happened getting on the freeway at about 70 mph, IAT was about 130 then. No knock.

I found a thread on Bimmerforums stock cars run at 140+ in sub 80 ambient temps, it was 85 at that time, 93 now, got up to 110 yesterday :p

I went down a huge rabbit hole on m3 chasing down heat issues. And it just turns out these things run hot. Still makes me worry though

On coolant temp, the gauge is worthless. It gets to the middle about 150 degrees and does not move until 245. It is crazy scary.

I'm running about 195 in 100 degree weather, intake is 130-140 when moving & 160 idling for 10 minutes or so.

This was today in 82 degree weather after sitting at idle about 10 minutes.

    Screenshot 2025-05-25 at 11.33.20 AM.png

    It's crazy!

I doubt that would work and can't risk it happening when I am not home & draining the pool into the backyard, then, there's the fact it blew into the great beyond. No clue where the missing piece is.

That's impressive. I never really thought of them as high pressure systems. High flow, yes. High pressure, not so much.

It fluctuates between 20-30lbs. It is also running in floor pop up heads depending on the zone it's up and down.

If it ain't Pentair you may get that :) I had mine for 14 years, the filters still holding strong, clean them every 6 months. Housing strong as new. What brand is that?

We had a Pentair, it lasted from 2004 to '23. When it died the pool guy quoted 2400 for "better" it lasted 14 months.

Obviously not better. We fired that guy a few months later, new guy quoted 2k for a Pentair.

I have the same exact Pentair model and still going strong after 15 years, including the 4 filters that were regularly cleaned, every 6 months. Get you an extra set of original Pentair 4 x filters if you can with the new system. I am having very hard time finding the original Pentair filters for my system and I am not willing to go with 3rd party ones. They lasted me for 15 years and is time to change them this summer.

That same Pentair was here when we bought the house, died in '23. I foolishly believed a pool guy and got something else, I can't make out the brand, it faded off.

The fun never stops! The seal between the intercooler and body is leaking into the intake on the driver side.

I ordered the seal & O rings, used Toyota FIPG as a bandaid, waiting for it to cure now.

It seemed to be hydrolocked & killed the starter (or blew the flexible link) I pulled it out & none seem blown. I have another coming in the morning & a starter coming eventually.

I am able to rotate the crank manually so at least it's not locked up.

Flexibles didn't solve it, starter came today, dropped the truck at Firestone via AAA.

    I'm fucked, new motor time.

Must be a hole in the block, it's losing oil. The mechanic said it was above the starter, as there is oil on it.

Motor was a 70k Tundra junkyard motor that apparently was fucked, I chose poorly.

Calling a local shop that builds motors this morning (it's 8:10am now) hoping they'll take the 2 motors I have as cores & reduce my costs. The 143k original had a valve not sealing & was blowing oil through the crankcase ventilation, this one seems to have lost a rod, maybe made a block window as I am losing oil.

Motor done, being delivered to the shop, AAA took the Sequoia there now.

Never expected less than 72 hours after they got my core that it would be done.

Both BAT & C&B refuse to host the Z unless I agree to no reserve. Both claim better engagement, I'd think the only engagement would be people hoping to get it for nothing, & I'm not interested in giving it away, I want a 15k reserve, which is less than 1/2 of my insane upside down amount I'm into.

    Fucking sucks.
