I tried to find an answer specific to the passenger side, but was unsuccessful in my searches.

I have a 2025 Limited and I am planning on installing a powered sub under my rear seat and need to run 8 gauge power wire from the battery. I have seen that there is a grommet on the driver side that can be used, but can anyone shed some light on if there is one on the passenger side?

Since the battery is on the passenger side I figured going through the passenger side of the firewall, and down the passenger door sill, would be the simplest method to run power to the rear seats. In addition, that would prevent me from having to have the power wire running next to the RCAs to the powered sub.

Also, any suggestions on grounding points behind/under the rear seats? I’m sure I will find one when I get to installing everything, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask on here!

Since power and signal wires need to be run down different sides… to me, running power across the firewall to grab the grommet is a no brainer. Why force an entry on the passenger side to save a few feet of power wire. Just my opinion and what I plan to do.

I completely agree. A couple things worth mentioning:

    1. The harness and LOC I anm using from TT is designed to connect to yhe anmp under the drivers seat so it makes sense to go ahead and run the RCAs from the LOC down the drivers side.
    2. The amp wiring kit I bought only has 17’ of power wire. Not sure if I can get from the battery, into the drivers side grommet, back to the passenger side and to the rear seats.

Sure, there’s workaround for each of those but just trying to see if there is a factory grommet on the passenger side anyone is aware of.

Hard for us to help since we don’t know year make and model; but since you stated your battery was on the passenger side I’m going to assume this is a 3rd Gen

2nd Gen tundras have grommets on both sides because the fuse box and ecu are on opposite sides of the engine bay; I would gather they did something similar and there’s grommets on both sides; and besides wires have to be run around on both sides so I would doubt there isn’t a grommet

sorry I can’t give model specific help, haven’t dug that deep into a 3rd Gen at work so couldn’t tell you from memory; but either looking at your engine bay (if you can see down the firewall) or another member should be able to chime in and tell you for certain

Sorry, I should have clarified, and will update the original post; I have a 2025 Limited.

On the gen3 Tundras, there’s a grommet directly behind the battery on the passenger side that can be used; for the non-hybrid at least.

I ran a 0 gauge through here so no issues with an 8 gauge other than consideration for an appropriate sized grommet to keep water out.

    What’s wrong with stock?
I ran 4 gauge to the back drivers side. You need to remove the battery to get to grommet. I cut the tip of the rubber nipple off and fed the wire through there. I did have to use lube because it would not fit. It seems to have sealed around opening so I’m not concerned about leaks.
