ya not much I can do about it so just have to suck it up and make the best out of it

monsoons and humid all the way through August and September or just August?

the times I’ve been out there in sept it wasn’t humid and no rain

then again maybe my definition of humid is more lol

I don't actually HAVE to work outside. But, I really hate sitting trapped inside locomotives for 12 hours a day (or night).
So, the trade off for having a schedule and working 8 hour shift is dealing with the weather.

I remember delivering the mail in those sweat box LLV mail trucks. Just an aluminum box, no interior panel, no firewall insulation, and just a fan that made it worse by blowing that hot air at you from the dash/firewall if you turned it on. I could handle it when I was younger but I'm glad I have a desk job now.

    That would be pretty brutal.

After every summer I always tell myself it's the last summer I'm going to work in the yard.

For awhile I had a Ford Exploder at work to roll around in. That was nice, heat, a/c, stereo. Then it did lived up to it's name. Now I'm back to the Kawi Mule. With a windshield for extra hotness ( although nice in the rain)! We break so much sh't, the rental companies don't want to rent to UP anymore.

Yes, thankfully we do have a lot of water cooled and rack systems inside, but I’m always sweating. Lots of up and down a ladder, in and out of drop ceilings with bullshit access to condensers.

The trash guys at work have these sweet kubota type utv things that have AC and the works. That seems to be the only good thing about their job. How they pickup and move these mobile trash bins is sooo stupid. I’m not a smart man, but I could think of at least 3 ways to make their life/job easier

Ummm.. No thanks. I love living here, but have no illusions of doing roofing in the summer, or at all. However. I do get half a dozen estimates on things, and usually go middle of that range.

Nice! I so wish we had that. Although we are supposed to get a new actual truck soon. So, we'll see if that pans out.

It was only 97 here today and still fairly dry out, pretty nice. Supposedly a little moisture the next few days coming in.

Don't flush ANYTHING besides piss, shit, and TP. And make sure all your guests know that. Another thing I didn't know about at first, newer systems have a screen filter that collects "solids" at the tank exit to the leech field. That needs to be cleaned every 6 months or so, or more frequently if you have people that use half a roll of TP per visit.

First septic system here too. 3motors in 5 yrs. New motor and fix to field when we moved in, 2020. New motor after tree fell on house/yard, broke discharge pipe, motor burned up. 3rd motor about a week ago. Its a moving part, its gonna go out. Several float switches replaced, all warranty.
If you hear a loud buzzing/ alarm sound it’s probably septic alarm. 1st time you hear it, WTF is that sound!!!
