My first task this morning is to find flights that don’t go through the middle east…

I got some of the PPF installed. I like the making the pieces part. It’s like reverse Softworks or hand-CAD.

The putting it on without bubbles on a black bike was really hard. I failed, there are some bubbles. Started doing smaller pieces. It’s a learning process. Reminding myself it’s not a Corvette. Would be nice if they sold white bikes, but probably doesn’t work well with carbon frames. Will save the templates, see how it goes. Go find some branches to ride through.

That's way more than excessive. The warning should read intolerable heatwave. Because you'll have high humidity along with that right? FYL.

That looks good. Did you apply the film dry?

I'm a huge fan of using Invisiframe on my bikes. I've installed a lot of sets on friends bikes and my own. Black is always the hardest because it shows everything. I do know that the bubbles will eventually go away on their own with a wet install. I cannot comment on a dry install.

I put it on wet with a mix of Dawn and distilled water. It does seem like the bubbles are going away!!!

I'm still riding an ancient 2018 carbon fiber bike. No ppf installed. Is this for scratch protection? Or does that film actually protect the bike more than that?

It's largely scratch and ding protection.
My 2018 Santa Cruz Hightower has had Invisiframe on it from day 1. The bike currently has around 3500 very, very hard miles and it looks brand new.

Hey thanks for encouragement and the heads up on the Invisiframe.:hattip:

I wasn’t sure if I was going to go precut, cut it myself, pay someone to install, etc.

I’m not sure if I made the right choice. But I’ll plug away at it. I’m a 3rd gen guy it’s all ready fire aim most of the time:laser::drunk:

    Another insurance company gripe:

Next month I'll go from short term disability to long term disability.
Short term is 6 months, long term is 3 years I think.
No problem, it's gonna take longer than 6 months for surgery and rehab of both shoulders.

Long term is handled by a different company.
I started the claim and they emailed me a 16 page packet of PDF forms for me and the doctor to fill out.
Instructed me to fill them out, rescan, and upload on the website.

I wanted to do it editing the PDFs because my handwriting sucks.
It took me 2 1/2 hours to fill out and rescan because I don't know what I'm doing with Adobe.
Wife offered to do it but I don't want to stand over her shoulder telling her what to type, she doesn't want that either.

Sent the pages to the doctor's out sourced paper filler outter people.
Went to upload the other 13 pages I filled out to the insurance company.
Between the initial email and me filling out/uploading the first set of forms, I could have simply filled them ALL out online, signatures and all.
Why didn't they tell me that instead of emailing the forms to me to fill out and return?
    Co**suckers..

    Gripe over, happy Monday.

I have a 2015 full suspension bike that I bought used from a friend. It’s a clear coat aluminum and has some dings. I figured I might as well put this PPF on the new one, I guess that’s the thing to do. The new bikes are more expensive, heavier, but better I guess. Getting one as light as my old one would be insane $$$$$. I will keep it, maybe get new brakes for it. TBD
