I don't know what has changed over at Toytec from 2016 to now, but I won't consider them anymore due to multiple issues, confusion and piss poor customer support.

Their website doesn't work most of the time, you can't place an order, you can't track your orders, and I was promised an additional discount via email from Memorial Day. Then they went back on their word when I inquired why I didn't receive the additional discount. It is very difficult to understand which instructions go with which setup. Also, I had an issue during installation where I observed the shock body turning instead of the adjustment collar. I spoke to the manager Hugo, about this, and I was treated as if I were lying and trying to get something out of them. He asked me multiple times if I had loosened the set screw on the adjustment collar. Yes, I absolutely did, the set screw was not removed, but also not even seated on the collar, I could turn it with my fingers! This isn't the first time I've installed these lifts, and I have been doing all my own vehicle repairs and upgrades for 30 years!

Sorry, Toytec, but I'm done with you.

    Hello Scott,
Thank you for your feedback — we genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
After reviewing the email correspondence with our team, it appears that the links you initially referenced directed to installation instructions for our previous-generation BOSS and Ultimate suspension systems. These systems differ in design and adjustability from the BOSS ALUMA Series coilovers you have.
Our team responded with the correct instructions specific to your ALUMA Series coilovers, including a direct link to the appropriate documentation on our website. Based on your follow-up, it appears that after referencing the correct instructions and following the proper steps, you were able to proceed without any further issues.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion or frustration caused by the initial misunderstanding. Please know that we have a dedicated support team available by phone to assist with any installation questions or product-specific guidance to help ensure a smooth experience.
As you mentioned in your email, “As I expected, when I was adjusting the ride height (using the correct instructions), the shock body was not turning.” — we’re glad to hear that everything functioned as intended once the correct documentation was used.
Additionally, we reviewed your payment and invoice, and can confirm that the 10% discount was successfully applied. Our system automatically sends a receipt via email that itemizes all purchased components, along with the applied discount and final cost. If you did not receive this receipt, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us — we’d be happy to resend it manually.
Thank you again for reaching out. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

This is not accurate. You’ve taken bits and pieces and crafted your response. You know that you promised me an additional 10% off above my 5% discount from Tundra forums. You also know that you went back on that promise!

Additionally, you have done nothing but put it back on me when I presented my installation issue, where the entire shock body was rotating when trying to adjust the collar to correct the ride height. Of course after I reversed the direction I was going and screwed the shock body back up into the top collar I cannot reproduce the issue.
But now my confidence in the product is shaken, and I have concerns over the quality and workmanship of that coilover. You asked for a video of the shock body turning, which I cannot replicate, nor do I really want to…. What would happen if I reproduced it and the shock body came out of the top collar when under pressure of a 700 lb spring?

I attached the email exchange regarding the promised additional discount so everyone can see the truth.

Ahhhh I see the confusion. Okay - so you were originally asking for the 10% discount ON TOP of the 5% Tundras discount. Gotcha, I am out of the loop on this so gather as I go and chatting with the sales team up in the front office about the situation.

So I see the confusion and misunderstanding, you sent in the email asking for the 10% Memorial day discount to be applied to your order, which we did, the misunderstanding / missing part of the question was to add the 10% on top of the already applied 5% discount you were getting, unfortunately we aren't able to stack up the discounts like that, which is outlined in the terms/ condition on our page that you agreed to when originally checking out.

I do apologize for the inconvenience / confusion on that side of things, let me know if you have any other questions or concerns! upload_2025-7-1_15-50-15.png

    Thanks again!
