    I'm retired now and live comfortably, I make knives and Western style gun belts on the side but only do it as I want to. If I do it as a business, I get burned out.

    Yeah, that's true. Found a nice sized black snake on my car port steps the other day. I think all this rain is what caused him/her to venture up. It was pretty cool. Havent seen a black snake in a long time.

    That would be great!! Not sure where you're looking but you will want to stay away from South East area of Howenwald. That area floods a lot. Especially when we get a lot of rain. Which we've been getting. Middle TN is good, that's where I'm at. Manchester to be exact. Moved here from Murfreesboro about 7 years ago because the "Boro" was getting too big. Anyway, pretty much if you buy enough land to have a field or live next to a farm, expect the occasional rat or corn snake. They are very docile and awesome. They get pretty big too. The black snake I think is the reason I don't have any mice. I live next to a large field and woods. I really like snakes and haven't found anything dangerous in my yard. In fact, this is only the 2nd snake I've found since I moved in. 1st one was a little garter snake. Cute little guy. TN is a nice place. I would stay away from Memphis though. I call it the Detroit of the south.

    I lived in Memphis in the early 90's. I've heard it hasn't improved any. :rofl:

    This is the general area we are looking. We are staying away from all tourist towns as well.

    Lol, no, Memphis has gotten a lot worse. East TN is beautiful and I go there as often as I can. Yes, the tourist towns are the ones to avoid. That would be great if you moved here. We could go wheeling together!!
