Ya I don’t even wanna leaving kit, guess I’m getting old haha. Love how the stock set up rides, I’m good with just bumping to 33s/34s. Just gotta decide if I stay in a sl load or bump to an E. Wanna stay sl if I can for weight, mpg and wear and tear.

Had the dealer change the oil just before 5k, and had them change out my method wheel caps for the heritage striped ones. IMG_1862.jpg

Question for everyone running 17" wheels, and I know there are a lot and it will work, but what are the potential issues you could run into going to 17's? Just clearance for wheel weights?

This has been my debate too. I don't tow, like ever, at least as of now. It seems there aren't a ton of options in 275/65/20 SL though, right? And even less that perform well in the rain like my AT3W Wildpeaks did on my Sierra I had before my 24 Tundra.

What's everyone's favorite SL 275/65/20 that does well in rain? (I can't seem to find them easily for some reason)

Also, does everyone just live with the speedometer being off? It's what's pushing me to comtemplate sticking with 265/60/20s after I add my Bilstein 5100s to level it out.

I've been looking at these but have heard they're terrible in the rain? I want to stick to SL, but may go up to LT as much as I don't want to add the weight to get the rain performance of the Toyo AT3s or the Wildpeak AT4Ws, but then...if I go up to LT, I should just go bigger than 275/65/20...and I'm back to analysis paralysis, lol!

I have Toyo AT3s in SL 285/60R20 (48lbs) and love them.

Ooooh, more detailed on that "hyperdipped bronze" please. :) Do you have a post/thread somewhere that goes into detail on them?

I've not heard of it, so thank you for the info and link!

It's a nice dark bronze, so I dig that. Looks fantastic. I just have to try and visualize something like that on a white truck now. :monocle:

Has anyone ordered 17" wheels and tires off tirerack mounted and balanced? Just wondering if there would be issues with caliper clearance and the wheel weights, or do they know where to place them to avoid issues.

from what i've read, some folks have done it. i see that it's wheel to wheel whether or not it will work and if it does work you have to be very careful when doing the alignment and where the weights are placed. i'm sure there is a thread with some of the wheels that do work around here somewhere.

It goes to a blank Google search. Even if it doesn't, it's always the trucks with aftermarket wheels and lifts and all thr other insta-scam truck trends that show up.

Plus, I am going to try not spending money on stuff that isn't functional.

I have been a big fan of Raceline Wheels ever since they warrantied a full set of 12 year old wheels after two cracked. Under very abusive circumstances I might add;). I called them and asked about fitting their 17" Rockcrusher on my 3rd Gen Tundra and he said without hesitation the barrel is to small on that particular wheel. He did list off several of their 17" wheels that would work. I say this to point out it's not even different manufacturers 17 " wheels that fit or don't fit. It's even within a particular manufacturers own lineup of wheels that may or may not fit. So do your homework!:monocle:
