This is what will keep my wife and I out of the GX and LC. We have 3 seats stacked on the Tundra and Sequoia. Our Sequoia is over 10 years old and we are wanting to switch over to a 4WD.

Been waffling back and forth on whether to pick up a late model 2nd gen or the 3rd gen. Pricing and availability of the 2nd gen’s is insane. MSRP for a 5 year old vehicle with 50k+ miles.

Even the tundra is small imo having 3 on the back seat, having a van just makes life 10x easier seating 8. Can put 2 in the second row and with sliding seats access the 3rd row without touching or moving a car seat, game changer!

Yeah it’s fast compared to the 4Runner for sure but still slow compared to my truck at 5.3 0-60.

We planned to take our car seats on the next GX test drive but I know it’s a pipe dream. It’ll be the TX or a Yukon in the end.

I wanted to make the new Sequoia work but they only have one car seat tether on the third row and it’s in the middle seat, blocking rear view

That's dumb. I'm pissed that the Pilot only has UAS anchors on one of the rear seats.

Ah man, I cringe everytime I here Chevy, lol. I love the styling but damn to me it's not worth the price tag. Unless it's going to be a lease. I have had lots of Chevys, currently have a 98 Z71, but to me, Chevy has gone way down. I would lease just about anything since it's theirs at the end, good or bad. But for long term I just couldn't pick a Chevy over a Lexus.

I think it depends on what Chevy you are going for. If we are talking a 6.6L Gas 2500 Silverado I would go for it. My Camaro has been doing fine since I bought it new a little over five years ago no issues. Now the 1500 trucks from Chevy and certain other models that will have me hesitant right now for sure. Why I always do my research thoroughly and triple check before I make the final decision and if I can I give it time. This goes for any brand really no vehicle is 100% perfect.

Yeah, I've had 2 Lexus vehicles and they were both great!!! Looks like I'll be a Toyota man for the rest of my life.

My 2nd gen doesn’t have any on the third. We had them lined up on the 2nd until our oldest got to a size where we didn’t need a seat that required a tether.

Man I’m the same. I’ve had a pile of Cummins since I work on them for a living and pick em as projects, but for long term ownership nothing comes close to Toyota and Lexus for reliability, cost of owenership, and depreciation.

my experience has been maintain em, and they normally treat ya pretty good for 250-500k miles.

Yep, mine has 160K (roughly) on the clock and have not had a single bit of trouble out of it. Just as preventive Maintenance I had the serpentine belt and idler pulley replaced last week.

Don’t most of the boosters require the rear tether? I’m not actually sure as my oldest just turned four

Take this for what it's worth as my little ones are now 35,26 and 22. But if it's just the booster seat then it doesn't get tethered. The seat belt is all that is needed. But as I've said, it's been awhile since I had to do that.

I’ll look into it a little more, but I know the seat that my son has is supposed to carry him up to age 10, 110 pounds, and it requires the tether. He turned four last week but he’s already 50 pounds so I had to put him in the bigger seat,

I looked at the car seat that said it's supposed to be good up to 120 lbs and decided my daughter probably doesn't need to ride in a booster seat into her 20s...

I was talking to my wife today about my current leased 25 MDX. As you can see even though I am only 6 months into my lease, I am already talking about my next one, hence why I lease. Anyways, I told her that for my next lease I was actually looking into Mercedes, BMW or Audi. Like I said, if it's a POS, it's theirs at the end of the day, not my problem, other than dealing with being broken down. I also told her that I don't see myself probably ever owning anything made by the big 3 unless the price was too good to be true.

Car seats will never be a consideration for me. I am just sad that there are officially no well optioned smaller cab trucks anymore now that Toyota dropped the double cab limited.

Ranger Lariat or Raptor? Being a Toyota vs Ford thread. And I'm in the opposite camp believing that it isn't a truck if it doesn't have an 8' bed and Ford no longer sell an F-150 w/ an 8' bed (well an XL regular cab). Toyota is the only manufacturer to sell a 1/2T w/ an 8' bed. Just waiting a bit longer to see if the motors quit grenading, then I'll buy one.

Yeah, that's a real bummer that engine is so messed up. I love Toyota and I feel bad about any blemish they incur.

When I grew up I rode in the front seat and cars didn't have seatbelts.

We had the rear facing jump seats in my parents' Ford Taurus station wagons. Can't imagine our legs would have fared well in a rear end collision.
