What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I always buy from the online site when they go on sale for around $4.00 and then pick-up from the dealer.Hopefully they have a BIG July 4th sale...

 

I have the Fumoto valve on my oil pan but others use the Valvomax drain.I wasn't real comfortable with a plastic oil filter housing so I purchased the metal housing and changed the center tube to the correct longer one. Probably a good thing because the dealer I purchased my Tundra from did a presale oil change and it took a 1/2" drive impact to remove it the first oil change at the house.I was like"damn I'm getting weak in my old age " naw it was put on WAY TOO TIGHT.Out with the plastic in with the metal and no problems since.The MotivX tool and funnel are nice and good quality.The funnel screws into the filler tube for no mess fills.The other tool and tube is to drain the actual filter housing but some just skip that step and remove the housing full of oil.If you want to get an oil analysis order the kit from Blackstone. The kit is free and then you pay when you send in the sample.

 

I typically do this as well and have a nice stock of maintenance items like air filters, cabin filters, oil filters and wiper blades and refills etc... I thought I would save some more money when I found them 10 for $20. Glad I checked prior to using them and possibly causing major problems.

Have regrouped my auxiliary switches on the center console.
- ARB compressor
- ARB front diff lock
- High power horn
- 2 x amber 22' Lazfit LED bars inside grille
- Ditch lights
- Morimoto reverse light

The white LED bar switch is on the dashboard with a red light as per local regulations.

 

Local regulations dictate where you can put certain switches?

My beloved 2011 is going to be heading to new home (after a detail, some more parts removal and listing it for sale). She has 173K on the clock and has been an absolute warrior. Never visited a shop for a repair - preventative maintenance only. She's going to be missed greatly, there are a lot of memories in the ol' girl!

Picked up a 2021 1794 with 37K on the clock! Cooled seats, backup camera and CarPlay are welcomed with open arms!

 

Yes, for the lights allowed on open roads. The rear fog light must be in full view on the dashboard with an amber light and the additional high power white light similar location with a red light. The additional amber LED bars and ditch lights switches are not regulated because they cannot be used on open roads.

That sounds like one of those laws someone passed to make themselves feel important but serves no actual function.

Took a step back from the fully loaded Boost Auto because the driver side mirror not only quit power folding, but the arm started losing tension and would shift back and forth when I started from a stop, etc. These new mirrors only have turn signals, heat, reverse spotlight, power adjust, and BSM.

I like the aesthetic so far.
