What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Looks good, can we get a pic of the front from further back? Haven't seen many do the hoop/bullbar higher then the sensor and curious how that looks.

Also, the hoop/bullbar looks tight against the grille. Im assuming you have to drop the bumper to remove the grille now?

Yes that is correct. But it’s strange that other models that use the same bolt don’t call for that high of a torque. I remember the Tacoma being much lower. 173 is way over the rating for the bolt.

I honestly don't know if I would need to drop the bumper to remove the grill... Hopefully, I won't be finding out anytime soon...

That looks like one of those one in a million chance things.... I would go buy me a lottery ticket as soon as possible!

 

Well, that wasn’t fun, but could have been worse. The guys at the alignment shop weren’t kidding, the whole system was basically welded together. But with a lot of heat and hammering, it’s all out and replaced. The quality of the Import Direct parts is still TBD, but they seemed fine enough during installation. But at least they have anti-seize on them and aren’t stuck, which is win right now.

You got lucky. Mine was a dud audio kept cutting out randomly with loud buzz. Sent to back through Amazon and got my full refund.

Maybe the 256 is better? I had the 128gb version.

 

I used it to get away for the last week to go camping and dirtbike riding.

Just found out what all the fuss is about for the TRD exhaust on my 5.7. It's real nice. Off to sell the stock now.

 

Pop ups came a long ways. I went on a few hunting trips with a friend years ago that had a pop up that only the ends came out with canvas tops. The middle roof was metal. Now I’ve seen them with side slide outs as well as the end slide outs. A lot more more room.

 

Yep...it's called a Hybrid. We had one until a few months ago. We traded it it but it had water damage because of the dried out Dicor. Now we have a 2025.

 

Took it out to the woods to hang out with the mosquitoes lol.

Also, don't forget to check the headunit to verify the firmware is up to date. A lot of folks forget or don't know to do that, and it does help quite a bit w/smooth operation when it comes to CarPlay and connectivity!!

Have you used this unit with success? I like the size of this one compared to my current one.

 

My 128 ended up kicking the bucket. I sent it back and picked up a Stinger Horizon 10, no ragerts

 

Having discussed with my workshop mechanic the installation of solid motor mounts and drive shaft center support, he suggests that we install solid gearbox mounts as well to have a completely rigid line.

Has anyone done it that way ? And can someone suggest such mounts as I'm not able to find them online ?

but these are the references for the motor mounts. What I'm looking for are the references for the gearbox mount, if they exist.
