We usually set it to 74 at night, but if we get into a serious heat wave it might go to 72

I set the A/C to 68 at night. 73 during the day.

I'm old and I like comfort more than money. Apparently.

I'm not too big, but I run hot. Wife is always cold, so that's a fun and constant conversation.

Damn, my wife thinks 78 is ok. I'm more about 75 and taking the humidity out.

I do like comfort and don't worry too much about money, but on days like today I just set the upstairs to 80 until the the sun goes down. And don't go up there until bedtime. The downstairs stays on 74 just right.

Depending on her age, that's not unusual.

    Same here. She’s always cold
On her side of the bed (we have those split mattress things for rising/lowering it) she keeps a heated blanket on lol. I keep the window cracked open, ceiling fan, and standing fan on.

70º during the day, 60º-65º at night. If I had AC I'd probably do 65º during the day.

Just getting caught up. I see thermostat settings and cold wives are the current topics. Mine is set at 76 and I'll pay dearly for it the next couple of months, should be 114-115 the next few days. And, yes, the wife goes between hot/cold and is well past menopause. Last night she was cold and not only had an extra blanket on, but another in the middle of the bed to block the air from my fan as I slept with only a sheet cause I was hot.

mm, no. Meno is usually the hot stage, but she's been this way since her late 20s.

76 in the summer and thankful we have solar, because our neighbors with a similar sized house pay $1k / month for electricity in the summer.
    62 in the winter.

It's only certain areas that are like this. When we lived one county over and had SMUD for electric our bill was never over $200/month. We live in PGE land now and they gouge the fuck out of every customer every chance they can. They also happen to be responsible for some of the largest wildfires this state has ever had in the last few years.
