What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Ill admit i checked quickly when he was talking about ordering the kit and there is no light in the dash panel where it is supposed to be, im familiar with it because i added the kit to my limited , i didnt pull the panel down yet and see if the wiring is back there but i recall a post where that guy roman mentioned something about the st jot having the light so i was trying to figure out the wires to tap into before his kit gets here and i go to install it and worst case the socket or wiring for it is not present and i have to figure something else out … just trying to get prepared for worst case scenario

 

That must be one of those silly trim deals, you said it was an SR? I would say the wiring is there somwhere. I had an 07 sr5 double cab that had the door pannel lights when you open the door but my 2018 SR5 I have now doesn't not have the light option in the door panels but the wiring is there behind the pannel attached to the door. Wish I could be more help and good luck. I don't know if that light runs off its own fuse or not but you may be able to get a fuse tap and find another accessory that's functions similarly and go that route so your not cutting any actual wires maybe

Beds off next the cab. Tear downs begun @snivilous. I’ll be packing the first pallet of parts to be picked up Monday. New coilovers arrive Monday not sure they’ll be here In time on the outgoing shipment but all good. I still have more parts coming here to palletize for shipment two.

Install day done and dusted! Took a couple of buddies and me just about five hours. Would have been four if I didn’t suffer the same fate as @250000yota and my rear shock bolts weren’t seized in place. Overall great install through, excited to see how everything performs after an alignment on Monday.

Just installed it today. Is hard to tell lol
I can't see it while driving but I think it's good. I've seen it perform on my brother's Sequoia. Backup lights up white, brake lights up. This version is supposed to flash but it doesn't and I'm not sure why.

But it comes with 8 yr warranty. My brother loves his though.

 

Does it plug into the trailer lights plug?

 

Diode Dynamics sells the kit and the harness plugs into the rear of the 7 pin plug.
If you want more light than that single pod that fits in the receiver you can do what I did.
Buy the 7pin harness adapter with 2 leads and install 2 pods on the bumper.Very easy install.Comes on when in reverse

The harness comes with male Deutsch plug ends 4 pin with 3 wires and a blank.The pods have female Deutsch plug ends 2 pin so the easiest way is to cut off the 2 pin set up off the pods and wire up 4 pin females to mate up with the harness.

 

Yes. Underneath the truck you could unplug the OEM plug and then plug in the diod dynamics plug.
