I've been researching overhead cargo net solutions trying to find something satisfactory for my 2012 DC but nothing was really satisfying. Coat hanger rods would function but not as aesthetically pleasing as I'd like.
Then, this morning, I thought of the unique hardware available for hanging hammocks/ridgelines and am excited to try it.
Sharing it here in case it might be a good solution for others.

I already had the cordage being shown in the video and upon preliminary testing it seems to me the ceiling hooks, (in the back and drivers side) seem angled enough to hold while in tension.

I'll update after the parts come in but for my cargo net, (19.7" X 29.5") I plan to cut off the straps hooked to the cargo net's D rings, mount the Stingerz "latch" side to the D ring and the cordage end will go around ceiling hook and then back to the the StingerZ to be tied off.

I've been interested in this as well for my DC. Never found anything I liked. Post up pictures when you're done!
