I'd rather buy an less featured Tundra at the prices they hit. Tacos are awesome if you hit trails but I'd get a 4runner first.

If you don't mind me asking, what did that Xpel, PPF, and Ceramic coating cost, and how long will it last? Thanks.

Just under 10k to have the entire car wrapped, the 8 year xpel ceramic coating, xpel ceramic tint on every window and windshield, and I had the xpel exoshield put on the outside of the windshield since the gx550 have a cracking issue and it’s 18-24 months to get one from lexus.

it’s a pile of money but well worth it if you like keeping vehicles clean and rock chip free. My Cummins is 20 years old, paint looks brand new. Has been wrapped and ceramic coated for 10 years and looks amazing.

Thanks. That is a chunk that I don't think I can absorb any time soon. But, from your picture, the vehicles look really good! Thanks.

It was so much cause I had the entire car wrapped. Most people do the fronts. That will cover the hood, headlights, fenders and mirrors. That’s around 1500 bucks and totally worth it. The 8 yr ceramic coating is around another 1500. So for 3k you would be more then covered for most rock chips and hits.

Just make sure they are an xpel authorized dealer. I used Extreme Auto spa in Greenville SC. They are the top rated dealer in the state. Was pretty clear when I got a walk through of the facility. Cleaner then most operating rooms haha. Couple lambos and a bunch of bwm performance center cars there being wrapped and detailed. Anyone in NC-SC-GA I highly recommend those guys.

Well I listed the Cummins. It sold in less then 24 hours. Guys flying from Kansas City in the morning for it. She will be missed for sure. Gunna daily the tundra and maybe buy an old square body and 12 valve Cummins swap it for a project.

Looks great. Was any light sanding required to remove surface rust before conversion and paint, or did the pressure wash remove without need to sand? I need to do the same here to stabilize the minor oxidation on frame. Tested a small area, most wiped away with soap and rag but not sure at what point sanding recommended. Will be stabilizing with conversion as well. TIA

ps. looks like our trucks share same exterior paint color 6N7. good looking period color from toyota

Thanks. I did a little light sanding to ensure the final smoothest surface I could get. Just by hand was all.

Had that issue on my Hemi Grand Cherokee. Internet was loaded with people having that failure in Jeeps, Ram and Chrysler vehicles with the 5.7 Hemi. Luckily it came with a lifetime powertrain from dealer. Invoice put the cost for the warranty company at $11,000.
Exactly why I am in a Tundra now.

break in oil change on the wife’s ride. Super easy to remove the skid plate for access. Fumoto added, unless their is a warranty issue this along with the tundra will never see a dealer, just my hands and my shop haha.

How so? Wet it, foam cannon, wet the mit and use a 2 bucket method? Depending on time it gets a turtle wax wet spray as a drying agent, then leaf blower to dry?

every Sunday after church is car washing day. If any vehicle was drivin that week, it gets washed. I’ve done it since I was 16.

i haven’t had a vehicle through a automatic car wash in like 25 years, but I love detailing and value my paint lol.
