Picked up my tow mirrors after having color matched only to find.....

    Had the local Toyota body shop paint and color match my new power folding tow mirrors only to find 2 nice scratches one on each mirror plastic mount area. I am so pissed off:mad: He called told me to bring them back. He apologized and said they have done plastic repair before that comes out good. Anyone have experience with this? He said his manager is aware as well. Hopefully this works out.

    I know. I think what ever they hung them with made the scratches. It's messed up because there's no way they did not see them before they put them back in the box. Probably somebody just trying to cover their own ass.

    Well after over a month and numerous phone calls and emails finally just picked up my replacement mirrors. They ordered new ones and painted them. I switched out the amber blinkers with smoked ones. Should match my theme well. They better work after install :mad:

    I believe amber from what I have read on the reviews on the 1aauto.com website. The one person actually said he thought they were brighter than the stock. Won't know until I install them

    I assume you have to pull the interior door panel to install. I was thinking about ordering a Tundra and that was one option I wanted. Since I bought off lot I will have to install myself. I tow a fairly large boat and could use them.

    Glad to know you can replace just the lens cover. About a month ago I had an F-250 with big-ass tow mirrors ride the yellow line on a tight country road and smack my tow mirror. Luckily all it did was break the lens cover. I got the mirror replaced but now I'm worried what if it happens again and I'm not so lucky to catch up to the guy.

    Word of warning to you guys with tow mirrors - even when collapsed they hang out there farther than you think. Your tires may not be on the line but your mirror may be hanging over. Watch those on coming trucks and mailboxes on tight roads.
