2026 Tundras...

When do you think the refresh will come?

 

2027. PHEV is supposedly on the table for then as well.

I would drive the hell out of a PHEV Tundra. Not sure if Toyota would consider it, but a “range extending EV” model like the upcoming RamCharger could be interesting too.

I’ve been watching the Scout activity. They haven’t really given any info about what actually living with it would be like though.

 

I'd get one for sure. Hopefully they make it look more like a truck, and it should sell well.

 

Maybe the move is 2026 Trd Pro, as it should be the absolute best of what Toyota can get for this pre-refresh, or do you think the refreshed model will be in another league?

 

You would? In my state a Hybrid registration is $78 bucks and if the Big Beautiful Bill passes it will be double or triple that so you might want to rethink those Hybrid or PHEV or EV dreams. Since a fully EV would probably be 300-500 dollars to register every year moving forward.

 

In Nevada we don’t have income tax, so vehicle registration is well north of 1k every year. I’m used to it

 

I think you mean property taxes not income taxes but yes, I understand what you meant.

 

In Alaska we don’t have income tax and I can permanently register a car for $150…

 

We don’t have state income tax, so everything else, like car registration, is exorbitantly expensive.

We also don’t have sales tax and get a yearly dividend from all the oil money. Drill baby drill

 

Sounds like 2026 pro will get the Tacoma Pro's iso seats.
