Pretty cool but would be better if it snapped together rather than having the crews on two ends. Looks a little bulkier.

it's def lil bulkier...I liked it because it wasn't a snap together and the keyring area is strong...future plans is to install stock remote start so I don't have to deal with the key anymore :)

I have heard nothing good about the "stock" remote start. I've been told the range is horrible.

Just had an aftermarket one installed through the dealership in my new Tundra. Right from them, don't waste your money on the oe remote starter.

Deductive reasoning leads me to believe you got the Tacoma one on the website?

I heard there were issues with the locking etc with the oem remote start...
40$ is pretty steep for a key fob, although they do look like they're made from the right type of plastic. Lol they even have one that says "yota"...

Does this add to the weight of the remote?

I have car key and remote separate from the rest of my keys for weight reason. In one of the vehicles I had, the starting mechanism went out because too much weight was hanging on it. Ever since then, I have been paranoid about what hangs on the vehicle starting mechanism.

You mean "inductive". If it were deductive, you would not need a question mark, haha.

@chphilo it doesn't weigh much, lightweight it's just more sturdier than the original if my keys should fall now I wouldn't be that worried
@Mr.Green yes I think it's a good product total was actually $37 ..thanks for info on remote I hope they work out the kinks soon

Funny. My wife's starting mechanism doesn't feel as secure in her jeep. I room probably have 5 keys and the factory remote. Shouldn't be too heavy, right?

Looks cool but who're you going to trust with the installation? This is just the part for the chipped key...

"If your vehicle equipped with an immobilizer system (chipped key) then you will require a bypass device. A bypass device tells the car’s computer that a valid key is present when a access key is within range. A bypass can be purchased from company such as iDatalin, Fortin and xPresskit. You will also need to disable your steering wheel lock to acheive true keyless entry and ignition, please consult the rest of the website or contact us for more information."
