Hey i have the prinsu rack for our tundra and has anyone had any corrosion in the bolts? The bolts seem to be made of mild steel and not stainless. After being outside in the georgia heat and rain, the bolts will rust and break making the crossbars useless. I bought it from truck brigade. Tried to get warranty thinking they would send me new ones and they have instead said that they would give me a 40% discount as their warranty does not support it due to different climates and torque. It says “lifetime warranty” on their site and i feel they should be replacing the crossbars due to their poor choice in hardware material.

cbi/prinsu skimping on the hardware quality...I had similar issues with RCI few years back but they did send me better bolts after I emailed them.
Have you tried emailing CBI/Prinsu ?

Seems to be a common problem with those from what I've gathered.

I tried emailing prinsu but they told me i need to go through truck brigade, the third party seller. I was told that they changed the warranty just as they switched to stainless steel hardware. Seems like they are trying to weasel out of the responsibility of backing up their products. Id prefer not to go through the chore of drilling out the broken studs and retapping them.

so much for being "overland" products if the bolts break with some heat/rain. Sucks they won't send few bolts to you.
