    I just made a post in the TRD Light Bar thread, but thought this may deserve its own thread;

I’ve noticed that on the 2025 Tundra models, the mood lighting and button backlighting appear to have changed from blue to white. I haven't seen this confirmed elsewhere on this forum and wanted to ask if anyone else has observed the same.

I’ve searched the forums but didn’t find a related thread - apologies if I missed it.

In particular, I’m looking into the TRD Light Bar switch. Does anyone with a 2025 TRD Pro know if that switch (and the rest of the interior buttons) now uses white backlighting instead of blue?

Also, is there an updated part number for the Light Bar switch that matches this new backlight color, if one exists?

Appreciate any input or confirmation from those who have hands-on experience with the 2025 models.

I’ve been preaching about white interior illumination. No results at all?

I saw you mentioned in the Aux thread that those switches were white, but didn't make the connection that you were implying that OEM switch colors had changed - thought it more of a disclosure that they may not match everybody's switch colors. To be honest, I thought my switches were a shade of blue and wouldn't have called them 'white' until I started digging...

I see you have a TRD Pro - is your light bar switch also white? Perhaps there's a way to find that switch instead of the blue backlit one that I purchased

The pro switches are all white. I’ve order PT45A-35240-TH and PR
And received blue when ordering the TH and a white trailhunter when ordering the PR which doesn’t make sense.
I’ve ordered them again to see if there was a mix up with parts. I don’t need them but ordered out of curiosity

Thank you that's very helpful - I wonder if they are just pushing out old inventory that has the blue lights, though that wouldn't make sense.

Which buttons are the PT45A-35240-TH and PR?

Awesome - I just read through that thread - I will share my build eventually where I am controlling my lightbar (and switch backlight & indicator light) through the use of an ESP32. The lightbar is controlled via highbeams, but the lightbar switch will override the lightbar on or off temporarily. I've also programmed a hard 'override' function which completely ignores the state of the highbeams (lightbar will stay on or off). When in hard-override mode the backlight of my switch is programmed to slowly fade on/off.

When I enter or leave hard-override mode (via long press of the switch) the indicator light blinks 3 times.

Anyway - if you happen to stumble across a white backlit TRD Light Bar switch I would happily purchase it from you

Maybe I should just buy all 3 switches again and see if I can get the right part...

You should create a build thread. Not enough build threads that have useful info. It also avoids all the non sense posts.

I will and have kept good documentation but I need to get the correct switch first before I share the entire build - I'm going to order PR and TH now and will see what I receive.

In the meantime, please let me know if you're able to successfully source the white TRD Light Bar button and what part number it comes labelled as.

Thanks again for your contributions here - I did rely on your & others contributions here to get mine successfully built.

Yes will post, probably on both threads, when I receive the new order.

Yes - I order from Fred Anderson Toyota.. they reached out to me and said the one part was on backorder and I asked them to send TH in advance, and they did.

To confirm - when you ordered TH you received the TRD Light Bar button, correct? They must have ironed out their part number discrepancy.

FYI - I received PT45A-35240-PR today and can confirm that it is a TRD Light Bar switch with a white backlight (not blue)

Very interesting... Fred Andersen is shipping the correct part. Interestingly, the box that had the correct light bar switch w/ white backlight definitely had the sticker replaced. There is a different part number sticker underneath it - I tried to peel it up but wasn't overly interested, wonder if they are slowly relabeling inventory to get the mismatches sorted out.

I'm finishing up with the CAN reader and will post a write up in the next couple of weeks. It isn't for the faint of heart but I learned a lot along the way and will be able to provide some helpful pointers.
