New taco doesn't do this auto ac off every time you turn off the truck

    Do you agree?

I haven’t noticed mine do this yet? Do you keep yours in auto or just set to a temp with a custom fan setting?

That does get annoying but sometimes I forget to click it. Actually when I test drove it, I went to turn down the AC because it got cold and the guy said "and the AC is not even on" hahaha

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
That would be far beyond annoying trying to cool the vehicle down using a REMOTE start.

I do not mind so much to have to push the button to turn it on. I would like that the button had a blue light that lit to indicate when the AC is turned on.

Wrong perspective. That is the PBF: Polar Bear Feature. You should be happy, glad and congratulating yourself for incrementally saving a species.

Or you can go to a gen. 2.5. Where all of the bullshit features were engineered out.

They call it Auto for a reason and it's not because you don't have to shift the transmission! It controls heating and cooling - just set the temp and drive. It is all I have ever used through every season - of which we have four distinct seaons here in Colorado.

I've wanted to post this for 3+ yrs & 130k miles....but I didn't because I knew I would never be able to actually find a resolve rather a bunch of modern day 'auto hvac' idiots

    Kinda regretting bringing this up
Modern day drivers are dumb f's

I wish toyota just engineered it so if you don't use 'auto hvac' the ac stays on when you turn off the gen3 tundra

I'm with you, I hate auto climate settings. Sometimes I want the air on my face, or my eyes get dry so point it elsewhere, or point it at the dog. Where it's pointing determines what fan speed and temperature I want.

But I like my manual transmissions too :D

I wanna go back to an earlier point

I test drove a gen 4 taco 2 weeks ago
It does not do the auto ac off in manual hvac mode...it behaves just like my previous tacos
Why does the gen3 tundra do this stupid auto ac off in manual hvac mode
    I hate it

Last time I checked the vents are adjustable so you don't have to experience that. For the price paid these trucks should have all the bells and whistles.

I don't understand the problem here. You have MANUAL heat & A/C, which means you MANUALLY set temp, fan speed, which vents you want, & if you want A/C, you MANUALLY push a button. Or...
You have the AUTO option, which is set it & forget it, adjust your vents accordingly.
But wait! There's more! You can even set if you want A/C to run in AUTO mode or not! What else do you need? I'm pretty sure all options are covered here.

I find that there are a lot of stupid things in life, and stupid ideas, and stupid complaints, and stupid wants and just plain stupid people. i also find that most of the things that stupid people complain about aren't worth fretting over.

    And I don't care.

I still like my idea that the AC button should contain a little blue light when it is on. Like the defogger button and the recirc button next to it. For me, it is difficult to quickly scan the little LED readout to see AC ON or AC OFF. All the other switches have light indicators, why doesn't the AC?
