Agreed. Working with him as well. Some offering cannot write in CA, OR, and WA. I’m in OR and Jerry is a fast responder with great prices.

Just to follow up, jerry johnson got back with me today and closed the deal. Great prices, great service, nice guy to deal with and for the peace of mind it provides, well worth the money. Thanks to jerry and you guys.

Purchased TEC Platinum 10yr/100k VSA earlier this month, thanks all for thread and references. 2023 build w 17k miles presently, so expecting Toyota Extra Care though 2033, solid. Also, I called Toyota Ins Division for a card to throw into glovebox of the truck, they said no prob, they will mail something out.

I got the name of Grayson Hughes at Danville Toyota from the Facebook Group and he was super responsive. Today I got the 8yr (so 5 additional) 100,000 miles for the same price listed above.

Facebook grand highlander group said prices for 10/100k went up to $2,230. Anyone else hear this? Was trying to hold out for a few months.

I was quoted $1,845 for the 10/100k. Not sure I will have the truck that long or that many miles. I went with 8yr/100K as that is 5 extra years and at that point I might be looking at the 2030 models.

    Thanks to all contributors here.

Purchased a Tundra yesterday and have reviewed many posts in this thread.

Looking into VSA Platinum coverage. Are the current dealerships folks are working with: Oroville Toyota, Midwest Toyota, and Toyota & Ford of Greenfield?

    Hi Folks,

I have recently purchased a 2023 Tundra SR5 (used) from the Toyota dealer last month. I have decided to decline the warranty options that dealer was offering because I felt they were way overpriced and have always had good success with Toyota in the past. Reading all the news and posts about the V6 engine failures has me worried.

What are my options for purchasing an extended warranty?

BTW my build date is: 04/2023
    Current miles is about 15,000

Quick question to any who have bought an extended warranty...ideally for those who used Jerry. Has anyone actually used the warranty? I haven't bought one yet (24 Limited with 10k miles and 1.5 yrs old) but will consider in the future. Just wondering if any warranty claims were denied or if every claim (if any) was paid. Thanks in advance!

Your good till you hit 3 yr or 36k. I would call Jerry or troy and buy whatever plan ya want. 10 yr 100k is about 1500 and 10/125 is roughly 2k. Money well spent.

It is a Toyota factory warranty. You get a card and info packet from Toyota for warranty. No 3rd party BS.

It looks like there are a few people selling the VSA Warranties at about 1/2 what most dealers sell for. One roadblock that keeps getting mentioned is that those guys, for regulatory reasons, are not allowed to sell in California, and Washington (due to regulations in those states).
I think there is a way around this.
If you have an address you can use in a permitted state (friend, family, second home), you should be able to use that address to purchase a VSA. Even better if that state has no sales tax!
That’s the situation I’m in. I’ll know next week, but see no reason this will not work.
    Will update.

My wife's Sienna just hit 36,500. Can I still get an extended warranty? Have gotten 2 so far from Jerry but all within the first year.

What is covered under a 10/100 plan? I never gave it much thought, I am at 22k on my 2024.

That’s not the official language, but if you want factual details, you should probably look it up yourself, rather than rely on a forum response.

The platnuim covers almost everything. Besides fluids, belts, maintence items. Hell even the upper and lower ball joints are covered for 10 year or 100k. For 1500 bucks it was a no brainer.

You can go lower years or mileage if ya want. I would just get 10/100 or 10/125 if you’re gunna keep the truck long term or to those years or miles.
