I believe his is a 3000 too, mine's just a later model year and gas while his looks to be a diesel. They're great machines, will never ever sell mine.

Yup, it's a 3000. It actually belongs to my dad, I just replied in the tractors post. It's actually two combined. Dad was given the original tractor, a '65 3000 diesel "Seleto-speed" which was a junk Ford attempt at a automatic for a tractor. It quickly failed, and dad found a 3000 diesel with a 4 speed hi-lo manual with a bad engine about 10 hours away. A weekend drive from CO to Cushing, OK netted a good tractor for us.

Did truck stuff with it last weekend. A lady in the town about 20 miles away ordered way too much 3/4 salt and pepper gravel and had a bit over 3 yards left over. She had it on marketplace for free so I jumped on it and hand loaded and then unloaded it at my house. It took two trips, but was a heck of a good workout.

    Got the 34s on today.

Set of Kumho Road Venture AT52 at 295/70/18s.

Wanted wild peaks but these were like $120 cheaper per tire. After rebate will be like $140 cheaper per tire. Killer deal.

Traded it in on a new Ram 2500 Cummins...

    20250531_152717.jpg

    20250603_134229-EDIT.jpg

I'm looking to retire in a few years and will be needing a 3/4-ton to tow a 12k lb RV between Idaho and Arizona. I was going to wait, but the dealership made a crazy offer that I couldn't refuse. I got nearly what I paid for my Tundra a couple of years ago, and they came way down on the price of the Ram. The Ram had a $73k MSRP and I paid $15k out the door, with the Mopar 10yr/120k mile warranty. And I kept my sweet Leer canopy.

The Ram is not nearly as nice inside, and will never be as reliable. But, it is averaging 5mpg better on my daily commute and 35s bolt on with no lift. The 1000 ft. lbs of torque will come in handy when I get that RV in the next couple of years.

Very sad to see the Tundra go, but with the 5.5' bed and 9k lb. tow limit, it just wasn't going to work for me in the future.

Congrats on the new truck. I bought my first diesel Ram (97 standard cab auto) in 99 and my second (96 extended cab manual) in 2002 and they both ruined me for gas trucks. Sure, I've owned 3 gas trucks since that second Ram but the second I hooked a trailer to any of them I missed those 12 valve Cummins'.

Last week we took the ole girl on the family vacation out to the beach. Took her first boat ride. That was a cool experience!

First ride over to Southport NC, we were the first ones on. But coming back, we had to squeeze her in lol.

Congratulations! I had a Ram 2500 work truck and it was solid through 90,000 miles when I finally retired. Other 2500s in the fleet were in the shop a lot. Hope you got a good one. If I needed the towing capacity, I'd also get the Cummins 2500.

And here we are planning our exit from AZ to ID in the next 1-2 years. I think I'll be keeping the Tundra though as we arent near retirement by any stretch, so it'll be a permanent change. Our little mountain town is now a weekend escape spot for the Valley and the size of the city is just too much now.

I recently installed the TRD Pro style grill on my 21' and decided to install a hidden LED bar behind the lower bumper as well.

    Before:
    upload_2025-6-4_10-8-55.jpg

    After:
    upload_2025-6-4_10-11-16.jpg
    upload_2025-6-4_10-11-44.jpg

I can drop links if anyone is interested in what exactly I bought. The only issue I have had is I have been getting the "Pre-collision sensor malfunction" message. I need to do some diagnosing on where exactly the issue is. I know many people had done the same grille swap without issues.

I want to by the OEM sensor mesh to match the black grille.

I have the old grill if anyone is interested.

I also installed the TRD Pro grille (ebay knock off at least) on my 2021. I followed the guide at post 11 and never have had a single issue, even after lifting my truck 2" and adding 34" tires: https://www.tundras.com/threads/tss-garnish-solutions-for-2-5-gen-pro-grill.109242/#post-2825619

No problem. I literally bought the cheapest sensor cover on ebay, like $5-$10. The material doesnt need to b e see through, just thin enough that the sensor can detect what's beyond it.
