Getting stabilized. We are all in counseling. I think we are all moving forward. Though I think my oldest tries to fill the hole left by her dad with some of the crappiest little boys.

 

I'm at a bit of a loss of how to respond to the news and your continued growth. So
I'll use three simple, yet effective, words as a reminder that all difficulties eventually come to pass.

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

No obstacles are insurmountable. Your love and support for their growth and healing (as well as your own) is all that you can offer. Using the words above and the time to allow them to heal from the grief of such a tragic loss will help. It may sound trite, but staying focused on moving forward helps. Seek happiness. As a child from a fatherless home I am speaking from experience...

Woke up and my eye is like 90% better. Maybe I can salvage some of the weekend and at least go out to lunch with the wife or something. There's a new brewery that opened up that she's been wanting to try, so maybe there too.

 

I went to bed early and then fought a baby through the night and morning... holy hell I fell behind here haha....

I dont know where the sandwich thing ended, but subway is garbage and that is a hill i will not leave.

Also, I am in all kinds of new pain after doing all that tree work. looked outside this morning and am not excited about the clean up... that sounds like a later problem.

Went out this morning to get my usual lottery tickets for next week and saw a half empty bottle of Hennessey sitting on the stairs leading to the apartment upstairs. I couldn't help but think to myself that it wasn't just the Tundra's Live crew that was lit last night!

My Reef's have seen better days and I absolutely love them. But they don't make this model anymore so I'm going to have to give their new version a try.
