Thieves in Ontario target anything they can steal. They ship them back to Europe, Middle East, etc. In containers to sell.

I have a Sequoia 2024 Platinum. Purchased in September. 3 attempts, November 5, March 23, and May 13. Twice on the driveway, once at a commuter lot in Oakville. 18k in total damages, used a club, they cut the steering wheel.

this time the entered by smashing the glass roof and cutting through the fabric.

Will not be bringing it home, will park it until it becomes less desirable

A couple of these stickers is probably enough to persuade car thieves to move along.

Posting from Fall River right now...
and also had a truck stolen when I was in Montreal.
The cop that took the report told me not to expect the truck to be recovered because they put them on containers and ship them overseas.
I sat their thinking... if you know what they do with them, why aren't you at the port getting my truck back?
Seems like it's a form of economic industry for them and they do not discourage it.

When my cats were stolen, I did a lot of research and found the same thing.
Most catalytic converters were being stolen and sold to people who shipped them overseas in containers to be processed.

They left one side hanging, and I couldn't find a local recycler to buy it, even though I owned the truck.
I ended up using a mail-in service that gave me $300 for it..

They are watching closely in Vancouver I’m told. A guy posted he lost his there and it was recovered with other high dollar vehicles in containers. He posted some pics of them all lined up at the port. Does seem all the CAN ports need to tighten up severely.

Completely agree, watched I believe it was a 60 Minutes episode interviewing a motorcycle thief and him explaining how easy it is steal a motorcycle, locked, alarmed, gated community, didn't matter. The interviewer asked the thief if he would ever steal a bike out of a garage. Thief responded "No way man, no bike is worth getting shot!" :infantry:

When I google IGLA, this is what comes up...

    9K38 Igla
    man-portable surface-to-air missile system

This should act as a bit of a deterrent.

If it's that organized to be loaded onto containers and shipped out within days or the next day, I'd say gangs, organized gangs, who most likely also have people working in the ports.
