$750 for labor plus whatever the fluid and tax comes out to be. Well worth it to save myself the hassle of being on my back for 4hrs rolling around in transmission fluid.

Gotcha. Seems like a fair price but I’ll be rolling in transmission fluid in about a month.

I bought a redline leather console cover, red stitching. Don’t reckon I’ll install. So I could sell at good price.

Ever wonder how much work the skid plates put in? After about 5 years of decent 4 wheeling into my different fishing spots, I can appreciate the protection, even if the moto jack is needed for removal.

Also, cut a notch in a flathead for removal of parking brake shoe springs, and use one of these tools that only gets used every generation or so to reinstall them! Holy hell was it easy!!!

Expand the star adjuster until you cannot turn the rotor, back it off 8 notches or so, and you are GTG, then adjust the pedal throw to 6-9 clicks...yeah...that many...and you are ready to roll.

After R&Ring the diffs, only need to fill the front, double check some torques and I'll be on the road w 5.29s!

I ordered one off of Ebay a while back from KBH Motors...

I was anticipating a 'cover' (something that goes over the existing material to protect it), and not an actual replacement cover (which is what the product was)...

This was completely my fault for not taking the time thoroughly read through the description, etc.. qualitiy seems pretty decent from that vendor if they are still around, but you'd have to remove the console lid and disassemble the underside of the console (screws and maybe a clip or two) to remove the old one and reinstall the new one.

Upholstery shop would be a good way to go if he doesn't want to do the work himself (probably better quality too).

I'm not sure what color he's looking for, but the one I ordered and never used is black, if he would have interest in that one...

Also, I'm guessing most of the large vendors like Katskin, etc. would probably sell you just a console cover as well :notsure:

Oh I'm aware, I've got +1's on my truck now, and a set of +3's in the garage. Just gotta figure out whether the +3 will work with the RAS or if I've gotta do a +2.

I have yet to look under the truck from my last wheeling trip, but the RCI sliders and skids definitely did their job.

Had a Duralast battery crap the bed after 7 months. Swapped it out yesterday, but it seems weird that it would drop off so fast. Watching to see if something else us up. Alternator was replaced a few years ago, so I'm guessing that should be ok. Maybe I don't drive it enough? Lot's of short 10 minute drives for the most part, so maybe I'm not giving the alternator enough time to charge the battery back up. I hate electrical stuff about as much as I hate transmission stuff. Ugh.

I will say that Andy over at Autozone is not only a legit truck guy, but a heck of a customer service / sales associate. It great to see there are still a few at the autoparts stores that walk the walk.

Batteries have been crap since covid. I've replaced every one I've bought inside of 3 years or less. Various makes and models. I'm waiting to see when the costco one in Tundra dies.

Shoutout to @memario1214 - I ordered the Eibach Pro 2r kit Monday and it arrived yesterday. Just waiting on the durobumps, which should be here Monday. Started soaking all the bolts with PB Blaster already, and hopefully I can find a day in the next week or two to tackle the install. I'll post up some photos when I get it done.

Just picked it from the valvebody install. I got the extreme version and I wouldn’t call it extreme at all. The 1-2 and 2-3 are quick and solid but not firm or harsh. The rest of the gears and lock up aren’t really any different than stock other than they are now felt instead of just gears.

I think most complaints come from stop/go traffic. Have you been able to replicate that type of low/no throttle shifting?

Picked up some UCA bolts from Camburg. I’ve heard stories about the stock ones being seized in place, so I figured $40 was good to know that I’ll have a spare set at install time. And I think replacing hardware isn’t really ever a bad idea anyways.

If I'm looking to check front to back and side to side level of my truck, where are a couple of good points to attach a level to verify??

Yes, I know the truck is not truly level, but my driveway and the parking stalls on my property are heavily sloped due to the amount of rain we get here so I'd like to get it close at least...

Center of the hub or ground to the bottom edge of the fender is usually the way. If the slope is more than maybe 15 degrees it'll affect level across the axis affected by the slope, but probably not much.20250531_083127.jpg

I wasn't think about it from a 'leveled' suspension perspective, but more about having the frame of the truck level for the purpose of fluid checks, etc... Plus to get the vehicle leveled as it would be in a 'shop' on a level pad, I will have to elevate parts of it which will force the suspension to flex and articulate and those measurements will be way off.

    Ah - -

It'll take crawling under it - but since you're going to be doing that for the fluid change anyway, put the level on the frame. Not sure any other way could ever be perfectly accurate.

Mine came out super easy on my 2015 and around 88k miles in the rust belt. Easy once the nut was loosened!

Can I ask where you got them? I haven't had luck yet finding them using links I have found in this forum. I need the grab handle for my wife. I have her do things like backing up to the ATV trailer and so forth
