The responsiveness and less engine-clunkiness was great, but they made the truck ride too rough. Talked to the guy that makes them and checked a bunch of stuff, but couldn't fix it or figure out why, so out they go.

    Awesome build!

A while back I picked up a flux core welder and a bunch of equipment. I haven’t used it yet. What are your thoughts on assembling a coastal off-road bumper with a flux core welder?

Originally I purchased it to remove a broken bolt from something, however I went a different route. I need to start looking into what I can use it for. Definitely want to learn!

I don't have much experience with flux core mig, but I don't see why you couldn't use it for the bumper as long as its powerful enough to get good penetration. It's a good learning project too. Tons of welding, and you grind everything smooth anyway, so it doesn't matter if they're not the prettiest

Thanks! I’m going to look into it.
Sounds like it could be a cool father/son project.
