I want to keep this truck a long time. What are some of your thoughts on how often to change these fluids?

Coolant should be done at 100k miles, then every 50k miles after that. I would suggest replacing upper n lower rad hoses, thermostat, and rad cap when you do that.

Trans fluid is debatable. I recommend every 30k to do a drain n fill. Then every 60k to do a pan drop and clean the magnets off. You can either clean or replace the filter screen. And def use only OEM gasket n filter screen. I like to do drain n fill every 15k on mine since I tow heavy in the hills.

I did my coolant at 50k because Toyota says to do it at 100k and then every 50k so I figured every 50k makes more sense, obviously there's a reason they don't want it every 100k. ATF is dependant on if you have a cooler and if you Tow but just do drain and fills what ever interval you decide on but 60k would be as far as I'd go without ever doing one, I do every 15-20k. Do not drop the pan, especially if you live where they salt the roads, the pan bolts are famous for snapping, I snapped one with very low miles. The filter is replaceable but it is not a screen that can be cleaned, assuming the above poster has not actually dropped the pan yet, here's a link to my post where I opened the filter up, you can see it's not worth replacing. https://www.tundras.com/threads/my-transmission-pan-adventure.110777/

I didn’t realize they use a filter mat in the Tundra. My Taco and 4Runner just had a mesh screen, figured it was the same.

Yeah it's sort of like a vacuum bag style filter inside a plastic casing.

I do the antifreeze every 50k and one round of a drain and fill every oil change (10k). Both are easy and cheap to do.

    Too many, but not enough....
Coolant says 5 years or X mileage. I have a 21 also and I did my coolant drain and fill a few months back at 4 years ans 35k miles.

Tranny fluid do a drain and fill every 5 years or 30k to 60k miles per the car care nut. Im doing mine this coming winter.

Coming up for a rad redo. The radiator is fine, just needing new coolant. That being said, it runs fine the way it is, no heating issues, needle stays right in the middle. I do like the idea of new hoses etc though.
