It is difficult to tell from spec sheets and online info which hard folding bed covers allow you to retain and use the bed rails. Please post here if you know which ones do.

    bakflip mx4?

    toyota’s branded accessory bakflip?

    Weathertech hard folding cover?

what about the hard style roll up cover?

I have the BakFlip MX4 and it does allow for the use of the bed rails, however I think there was a recent "update" that may have hindered that. I could be wrong though.

I have this one and can still use the tie down rails. Clamps for the cover do use the rail system so there are points on the rail you can't use.

I have the MX4, but had to use smaller tie-downs I found on Amazon - the stock cleats were too big.

The Agri and WeatherTech are the same cover just different branding
I have the weathertech. Been a good cover, starting to leak if water sits on cover at certain angles in driveway. Would purchase again, had for 3 years

Agricover / Access - LOMAX Hard folding tonno cover

    - Very low profile, strong, light weight, single layer of heavy gauge aluminum. (vs thin panels over styrofoam).
This eliminates the possibility of the cover absorbing water and becoming waterlogged and heavy (like some popular brands).
    - Seal / gasket is on the underside, pinched between the cover and bed rail, not stuck on top where it is exposed to UV rays.
The hidden compressed gasket not only looks better than seeing rubber around the entire perimeter of the cover,
it also provides a better seal, and it is much less likely to shrink or peel off since it is being pinched in place.
    - Durable Urethane / Spray liner style finish.
    - Easy to install. No drilling. No drain tubes. Easy to remove in seconds without tools.

Pretty sure they all work with the OE bed rails.
I think the OP was asking which cover still allows the use of those utility rails.
Some covers may obstruct the utility rails and do not allow the OE sliding tie downs to be used.

thats exactly what I was getting at. Thanks for clarifying my thought. Sounds like Lorax is a good choice overall.

I typically try to make an informed and well thought out decision, and do it once especially considering previous experiences. By the end of my first year of ownership of a 2000 Tundra I ordered a one piece fiberglass locking cover and had it painted and cleared body color. Automotive type weatherstripping that compressed to the bed rail all the way around with fully adjustable mounting. I replaced the gas struts once and the key cylinder once in fifteen years of use. A relative owns that truck now.. the cover is still on it and looks great. I really wanted an identical cover for my 3rd gen but the company is no longer in business. After much research and shopping around, and trying to get as much ownership feedback as possible I bought a Diamondback SE and couldn’t be happier. Initially wasn’t crazy about the utilitarian looks and no option for color, but I don’t remember ever seeing a bad review or buyer remorse from a Diamondback owner. Strength, durability, corrosion resistance, theft deterrent and weather protection are top notch. Very pricey, but I think the quality is hard to beat.

I have the Lomax Professional series and it was a breeze to install with the factory rail system.

I like it because of the diamond plate on it, ability to support up to 400 lbs, and even when I use the pressure washer on it when I wash my truck I have no water intrusion in the bed.
