Wife got a new GX550 Nori Green Overtrail, so I sold my Jeep SRT and am back to driving the Tundra in the rare times when not driving my work truck. Figured if I'm keeping the truck long term, that I'd get a full ceraminc detail done. Crappy lighting when I picked it up, but it turned out amazing!

Wondered at the growth from 1967 to 2025. My, my, to go from an air cooled two cylinder 700 cc boxer with 28 hp to a twin turbocharged 3.4 liter V6 with a bit more power than that! :D

Here is my black 2023 tundra capstone. Please give me feedback and suggestions. Also, I like the wheels aesthetically but they are way too heavy. If anyone knows where I can get lightweight 24x10 wheels please let me know. Also, looking to sell those wheels. Tires not included!Screenshot_20250805_160641_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20250805_160629_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20250805_160614_Gallery.jpg

Pickups take so long to wash. I refuse to take any of my vehicles to the car wash so instead, I take about 3 hours at home detailing mine. I really like your tundra. I would make her look very pretty.

They are typically dealer stock for work trucks. That’s how I found it. Basic SR level. I like that and modded it the way I wanted to. Otherwise it’s special order. I think you can get a TRD version. IMG_8130_Original.jpg

Brother that truck has a lot of value. Keep it unless you get a great price for it, if you ever decide to sell it. It looks really good.

You just have to find the right place.
I use a place that about 4 miles from the house and it's all handwash!!
No machines used at all unless they're buffing it.
You pull in one end of the building then go sit in the lounge and watch em go to work.
There's a Team of Dudes and Chicks that swarm your Truck and go to town on it!!!
While it's not cheap it's not crazy expensive either considering the job they do.
They have it down to a Science!!
You have all kinds of choices as to how far you want to go.
I usually go with the $40 Buck Wash.
They do the inside and out,Armor All the tires and interior they even use bottle brushes to clean all the crevices in your rims.....all by hand.
When they're done your Truck looks Brand New!!!
You'll see Porches,Lambos and every High End vehicle you can imagine there.
    The only thing that Sucks?
Once you pull out and get to speed the wind will catch water thats trapped in the nooks and crannies so ya either gotta drive until they're gone or go home and wipe it down there.
You can spend more and get a complete detail but so far I havent felt the need unless I'm getting ready to trade in the Truck for a new one.

Thank you for the input. I live in NJ and it is very difficult to find a lot of the resources in the car community that can be found in other states. I will do some research to see if there is one near me. However, I am planning on moving out of here. That sounds like they do a hell of a job. That would be great in this area.

Yeah...I will admit they use a lot of immigrant labor it being in Texas.
But they do make some decent money.
They have a tip jar that sits out in the open where they can see it.
I always make it a point to drop a twenty in it.
These Girls and Guys work hard for the money so I dont have a problem tipping them.
I get it from my Bartending Days...
Tips make a HUGE difference in how much money you make in a Bar since they generally pay you minimum wage and you have to make up for it in tips.
They see you drop a $20 in the Jar they work harder when washing your Truck.

That is true with all the immigration issues going on. I hear a lot about Texas, but we Americans know that not everyone is bad. There are individuals like them who make an honest living. I would definitely tip them well.
