So I bought a 2004 access cab a couple months ago with only 70k miles on it, but it has accumulated a bit of rust around the underside as it's been in MN its whole life, and the leafs are one of the worst victims of the salt, so I want to replace them.

My question is: can I replace my rusted leafs with the stock double cab leafs for an end result of a slight lift? I'm lifting the front about 1.5" but I want to keep the factory rake look. I've looked at AAL and block options, but since I'm replacing the leaf anyways, would the double cab leaf give me a similar result?

note: from what I can tell, the access and double cab leafs have the same eye-to-eye length and width, the double cab version is just a thicker pack.

    Exhaust,
Anyone find out the answer? I bought a AAL from toy tech and it didn't specify if it was for a AC or a dc. Wondering if I may have any issues.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but was anyone able to figure out if the AC and DC leafs are the same?

    I looked up a 2006 DC V8/4WD VIN's parts in EPC: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/uck41/3816/chassis/4804/

And compared it to a 2006 AC V8/4WD VIN's parts in EPC: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/uck40/3806/chassis/4804/

Granted, not all trucks are going to match those chassis codes, but in digging thru the parts diagrams and online info, they're the same year, it appears both have tow package, so ... should be mostly identical config-wise.

Clearly they are two different part numbers, so from a pure "What does Toyota think?" perspective, NO, they are different leaf packs, different part numbers, but no clue what differentiates them.

We know there are frame differences between the AC/RC and the DC trucks, and there are differences between the V6 and V8 frames. Will they fit? Maybe. Would I risk buying a brand new pack for an AC if I owned a DC? Hell no. If I could get used leaf packs for under $150, it may be worth the risk.

oh man, an answer from the first GEN Savant himself! That’s exactly what I’m going to do. I found a pulled complete suspension from a 2005 double cab and want to see if it will fit my 2006 double cab, which is in pretty rough shape. Thanks and I’ll report back

    Looking forward to it!

I have my sneaky suspicions they'll fit just fine. IIRC Toyota also shows a diff't part number for front struts on DC and AC/RC trucks also, but I gave my 70k-mile OEM take-offs to the guy from Birmingham AL who bought my 5-spoke OEM wheels, his friend needed a known-good set for his DC. He confirmed they fit fine, and sat the truck higher than his blown ones.

Someone on here measured (@455h0le_dachshund or @Sirfive was that you?) packs and they were similar, like ½" different overall length, similar arch? I forget.

Were those similar or same years? I see new 2000 AC leafs for $50 and that would be even better.
