I was underneath the truck today, had the spare out, was checking for rust and running a backup cam wire. The body is fine but the back bumper, the whole backside of the bumper is rust...not just a patina but scaly rust, you cant see it from the outside but now that I have seen it it must be replaced.
Is there a recommended replacement chrome bumper?

There are some aftermarket ones either on Amazon or EBay that some have bought in the past. They can with come with the trim pieces or without. I need a new one myself so if you find a decent quality one, let us know.

Looks like Rockauto carries them as well. Multiple sources, so no distinctive manufacturer.

This is what I purchased, from Summit Racing, back in fall of 2019 when some jackass backed into mine while donating stuff to Kidney Fund - access cab and reg. cab should be same/similar.

Sherman brand makes good stuff, Coast to Coast is good. Sadly, it looks like time and (moreso) tariffs have the current price at 60% more than what I paid a few years back, here's the current pricing ($325.99)

This seller on fleaBay may save you some $$ and does paint-matched bumpers for anyone who wants that: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=topicker&store_name=topickerautoparts&_oac=1

Yeah, sadly the national parts sale w/15% off ended at midnight last night also.

Thing is, a lot of stuff coming out of China uses inferior steel that's overly-maleable, with asinine quality issues. I'd rather buy a single OEM replacement for $300 than buy one $180 cheap mainland China part, only to replace it with another $180 cheap mainland China part a year or two from now when the 1st one gets damaged. "buy once, cry once".

I'd probably trust a few aftermarket brands on, say, a wiper/fog stalk purchased at RockAuto. But likely not a bumper. There's only a couple of brands I'd had luck with over the years on thick-steel products.
