Have owned a 2013 and 2018 Tundra 170,000 and 130,000 miles respectively. Went to a Silverado 3.0 duramax in 2022, for the mileage. While that engine gave consistent 28 mpg on the highway, and towed the camper and boat well, it had some electircal and emission gremlins that kept me awake at night.
So, got rid of it last week and got a 2025 SR5. It is quieter, rides better, tows better, and feels better than the Silverado. The mileage is crap, but all Tundras are like that for some reason.
Had the side windows tinted yesterday, added a Worksport AL3 bed cover and a Rough Country Catalytic converter shield.

The milage on my 2025 isn't good at all, I'm getting 14.5 in the city, My Tundra drives and handles like a dream but the gas milage is horrible. I mean, it makes me want to sell it. Maybe? lol, but I love the way it drives. I'm still on the tank the dealer filled up, so once I fill up we'll see. Anyone want to buy a Tundra?

Welcome from NC :hattip:curious as to whether you either chose the Tundra over a turbo-charged Tacoma or just bought it to replace what you had.

I almost went with a Tacoma but I didn't want to be the first ones to get the bugs out of the new engine. There are always bugs to work out. HOWEVER Toyota, well they usually test stuff but it's impossible to find out how much testing.
