    Hello guys,
As the title says I have a 2008 tundra that won't crank while in Park, but when I put it in Neutral it does. For a while now it has been very difficult to put it in gear, especially when the weather and trick are cold and I think these two might be related.
I just replaced the strarter, thinking it was the reason for no start and when it wouldn't crank again with the new one, I decided to try it in Neutral and lo and behold it starts right up. It was still hard to put in Neutral, but after a few tries it went in.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thank you
    Dess

When in park, do you feel the park pawl engage in the transmission? Does the green "P" illuminate in your gauge cluster? Could be shifter cable and/or NSS related...

When in Park, everything looks proper. The green P is illuminated, the truck is firmly stopped, the only thing not working is the crank.

If the NSS is faulty, would it crank in Neutral but not in Park?

No problem with the key whatsoever. Just took it for a drive and everything works perfectly. Doesn't start every time so I would have to put it in and out of neutral sometimes, but so far it works. Ordered a new neutral switch and will replace it when I receive it.
Do you know the location of the switch? The only one I seem to find is for the 4Runner. Is it in the same location on the passenger side of the tranny?
    Thank you for your responses
